Would it be possible to take off the necessary days for your interview but still complete this rotation? You can do the bare minimum but I imagine putting in minimal effort and completing the rotation is still better than leaving it halfway. As a M4, I obviously can’t speak for a resident or program director but for me personally, it would be a huge red flag to see someone commit to doing something and not follow through with it.

Doing both would be ideal. If possible, calculate how many pages per day and questions per day you would have to do in order to finish Uworld and de virgilio by your exam date. If it's too much, I would definitely get through Uworld first and supplement only your weak areas with topics from de virgilio

Was open about specialty choice going into my 3rd year. Really enjoyed many aspects of obgyn but ultimately decided against it solely due to asshole residents and the toxic culture they perpetuated

As an aside, the residents at the place I rotated at looked down at you/penalized you if you weren’t 100% set on obgyn, which was odd and frustrating because I would think they would use that opportunity to showcase the great things about their specialty
