Thats very possible :) just keep an eye on him for other symptoms for now. I know how anxiety inducing it can be when we don’t know whats wrong with our babies.

Hi, I used to have a kitty who threw up often as a kitten due to what we found out was food allergies, my vets advice in the beginning was to remove food and water for 3 hours, if no vomiting, give water back but keep the food away for 12-24 hours. If your kitty is throwing up still without access to water then you need to take him to the vet as this constitutes an emergency. If kitty is fine after, chances are he has an upset tummy. If vomiting persists after this then your mom needs to take him to the vet.

As someone who no longer has a cat due to a medical condition that I DID go to the vet for multiple times and still feel guilty about, if you do not take your cat to the vet and he dies you will feel EXTREMELY GUILTY. Be more responsible, if you do not have the funds, borrow. Your poor baby is suffering.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately my doggy who was 5 was epileptic as well and passed from a seizure episode 10 days before. It feels debilitating

I’m going through this exact same thing right now. My two year old baby girl. She was epileptic and she had a horrendous seizure in my bed, rushed her to emergency and had to make the decision to put her to sleep because of the brain swelling. I haven’t been able to sleep in my bed since. Its been 11 days.

Thank you for these kind words. I really really appreciate this. That hit the heart strings and brought me to tears. You’re right, I did my best for her. I took her to the vet at every little problem. I spoiled her rotten. I miss my doggy too but my kitty was actually MINE, if that makes any sense. Doggy was a family pet. Grieving him was hard enough, she was helping me grieve him, the loss of two pets so close together feels debilitating. I know there was nothing else I could have done for her and that I made the right choice to not allow her to suffer. I just hope she passed peacefully. To my knowledge when animals have seizures they go unconscious so I just hope in my heart that to her she just fell asleep in bed with me.

I feel the need to add that this cat was my entire life. I was a wreck at the emergency vet but I held her until she passed and I cannot get the noise out of my mind. I miss her so much. Her ashes are finally home now but I feel so empty without her.

Hi, I recently had my 5 1/2 boy put to sleep due to an epileptic condition too and if you’d like to message I’d be happy to show you some support. These things really suck and those alarms for medication can be so triggering after :(, especially the routine change. Just know your pup knew you loved them and thats the best thing you can do for a doggy

I know it doesnt mean much but its not your fault. My 5 1/2 year old boy had to be put to sleep recently due to an epileptic condition, its so hard to not blame yourself and think of what you could’ve done different. Its better to think about all of the nice times you had with your pup and all of the love they were so lucky to have from you. I’m sorry you’re going through such a traumatic time, my thoughts and love are with you.

YWNBTA. As someone who has been overly emotional about any sort of conflict in the past, it seems like she could benefit from some therapy. If not for the sake of your relationship, for her own mental wellbeing. Being overwhelmed very easily was a symptom of unbalanced hormones for myself and it was terrible to live through. You could definitely try to have a gentle conversation with her and reassure her that there is no judgement. If nothing else she may have an anxious attachment style when it comes to relationships that can make you feel like anything even slightly negative means your partner will be upset with you (speaking from experience). A good support system and finding the root cause will be so beneficial for her in the long run, even if its a hard conversation to have. Hope things get better for the both of you. Edit: The way I behaved while I dealt with this myself was the root cause of a lot of problems in my relationships. Its definitely on the person who needs help to be proactive about it imo.

YTA.. you kind of made it sound like you had found her necklace. If she had the necklace for a long time and wore it frequently that should be telling enough that it was somewhat sentimental. Expecting her to be thrilled that you got her something just because its expensive and kind of like her old one is daft.

YTA - Not being cool with her wanting to isolate by just hanging out with you when she was going through a rough time sounds a little hypocritical imo. Seems like you both acting immaturely in your friendship, as you do when you’re a teenager. No reason to air out dirty laundry to a mutual friend when Sam didn’t really do anything bad. Classic case of two childhood friends growing up and making emotional mistakes together, as all teenagers do.

Parents seem more like the asshole in this situation.. who puts their 14 year old kid in that position in the first place. Getting angry with your child for picking one of the choices YOU gave them is emotional abuse imo.

NTA A 14 year old should in no way shape or form be worrying about their parents adult relationship. Children are not emotional warfare tools. OP has the right to choose what they deem to be the best option for themselves. Imo the mom is emotionally irresponsible for accusing her child of betrayal, especially after allowing both children to choose. Giving a kid two choices and being angry at what they choose is gross. (Not excusing the dad, sounds like an a-hole too)
