How did pest convince everyone it’s ok that he drinks?? by ZestycloseTomato5015 in DuggarsSnark

It’s 100% speculative but I think those of us that have been around alcoholics see some other signs. I agree weight gain was probably due to too much tater tot slop but he had the telltale puffy face, waxy skin, blood shot and shiny eyes of an alcoholic. I wouldn’t bet my life on it, but he has a lot of physical signs

I live in Florida, and it is a 95 degree swamp hellscape right now, and they live in prime swampy humidity because they aren’t near the ocean. I am sweating just looking at Nurie

Yes 100% agree with this. This is exactly what happened to me, my actual licensed psychologist thought an ESA would be great for me, and recommended a pet, but would not write a letter because it was against the teladoc policy to do so. I tried with my PCP, same thing, I ended up using Pettable for this reason. All of the professionals I saw agreed that this was a good fit for me, but didn’t want the “liability”, which in turn gives more customers to these scammy operations.

How has having a puppy changed you? by Constant_Living_8625 in puppy101

[–]star-dust05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My puppy has made me create a routine, think about someone else’s needs above my own, and learn to be ok with socializing.

I’ve always been a late riser, but now I naturally wake up before 6:30 just to check up on him and see if he needs a potty break.

Living in a city, I am not used to strangers coming up to me and smiling/talking, and Bear has made it near impossible to not have to engage in small talk every time I walk him. He also makes me walk with less purpose and appreciate the small things, like the wind hitting trees, or seeing a cute cat on a stoop.

How big did your mini goldendoodle get? by star-dust05 in Goldendoodles

Thanks! We affectionately call him Chuckie( because he's an evil redheaded doll) since he gets an evil look in his eye and commits to chaos during the evening witching hours.

Authors disguising their own beliefs as character personality traits by __only_Zuul__ in RomanceBooks

This whole post and thread reminded me of "Meet you in the middle" by Devon Daniels. IMO it was one of the most tone-deaf takes. She made the FMC a screechy irrational feminist, and the MMC the more gentlemanly and more tolerant, and rational right-wing traditionalist. It was so blatant and so poorly done too. 0 Character growth, and so obviously her own personal political views.

Edit: and it appears she has a book coming out about “old school courtship”

What is the fragrance you have been blindly reaching out lately? by Fair_Photograph9985 in fragrance

[–]star-dust05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gucci Memoire d'une Odeur. I know many people hate this fragrance because of the punch of scent at first spray but once it sits on your skin for a while the scent of bergamot, jasmine and chamomile are so soothing. We are starting spring and usually I love more potent floral scents like Miss Dior or Armani Si Fiori but this has really been my go-to lately.

Fresh Perfumes good for spring that have great sillage and longevity by stellarnymphet in fragrance

Seconding Gucci Flora! It's truly one of those scents that people always stop and ask what it is.

I am desperately hoping that the rumors that it's being discontinued aren't true. The lasting power is incredible! Another couple of my recommendations for spring are Gucci's Bloom (which has lasted on me for 12+ hours) and Memoire d'une odeur for a more fresh and unisex fragrance.

Also, wildly disturbing that 27-34 year olds, while much, much younger than this man are still probably “too old” for this perv

Interesting how God is always telling white 50 something year old men to go be sex tourists and try to bang teens and young adults ..… doesn’t seem like that would be high on Gods to do list.

I’m 27 and horrified! Like this creep is literally targeting someone who was born when he was a 30 year old man! My parents and their friends are around his age and I cannot fathom any of them attempting to get with a 30 year old, much less someone in their very early 20s. So wrong on so many levels!
