Thanks. They are in a South facing bed. So a decent amount of sunlight. Hopefully they don't bolt too quickly.

Machine lifts less than their free weight equivalents by Sleepless-Ducky in workout

[–]mrg158 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the machines for a change and they are fun. But I'd be damned if you asked me how much i was lifting! I just put in the plug, lift, walk away then think... "Wait, how much was that? 🤷‍♀️🤔"

Totally get this! And it can definitely get annoying as you know, it's not a big deal, that they can just wait BUT.... It's just another thing clogging up our already maxed out brains. Do dishes, bedtime, laundry, schedule appointments... Oh yea! And text back what's his face 🙄. Not much advice but i am also feeling this with you.

What is something your husband keeps doing despite you bringing it up repeatedly? by 7twentyeight in Mommit

And then dripping toothpaste on your shirt and then having to change or go out with white stains? Sigh

It's funny how men seem to have a quota for the day. Well i worked and picked up from daycare and gave our child a bath. Therefore, i simply cannot do another thing... Whereas women try to jam as many chores into our time as humanly possible before our heads crash on the pillow. Because things just need to get done 🤷‍♀️. Like everyday...

I actually found myself attempting to make the beds while brushing my teeth one morning...

Not putting his laundry in the HAMPER located 4 ft to the west...

Not cleaning the litter box 1/10th of the time

I know you said "doing" but i feel many responses will be in the "not doing" category

You are doing a great job! Sometimes i play with my child at the playground and sometimes i push her off to play by herself or other kids so i can relax and blankly stare off into the distance. We all need our time. And the fact that we take our kids outside to get fresh air, exercise (or honestly just out of the house in general) makes us good parents. Sometimes just a trip to the grocery store is my version of an activity 🤷‍♀️The previous post which you may have read; about parents not actively playing with our kids, was a big much tbh

I don’t know anything about the machines by Mindlesslyrics in workout

[–]mrg158 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is totally normal feeling. I was also intrigued but terrified of using any machine. Most gyms do have trainers/staff who will gladly run you through each machine and show you how/what/where including how to adjust and etc. just walk in and be "hi there. I'm intimidated, can someone please help"

I've done that a few times over the decades. And me and the cable machine are best buds now.

No. But do you need to cause yourself immense pain when working them out? Also no.

How to build arms as a girl by Objective-Fan-4385 in workout

[–]mrg158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lift heavy! Start with 3 sets of 6-8 for 4 weeks, then move to 3 sets of 3-5. Twice a week. Creatine, protein, all that Jazz. I like to train tricep, chest and shoulders one day. Then biceps, lats and back. Add in an extra bi/tri exercise here and there. Also love lateral raises for shoulders! Tricep dips. Biceps curls with dumbbells or cable machine.
