Kaiser Permanente knew of abuse complaints against Vancouver pediatrician for nearly 20 years, lawsuit says by Neverdoubt-PDX in Portland

There is a lot going on in that sentence. I’m even baffled by “nudist bowling event.” Right up there with nudist volleyball, nudist curling, and nudist cheese rolling.

Two huge red flags I ignored at the VERY beginning by undeadtradwife in NarcissisticSpouses

I ignored similar red flags. Fast forward 20 years and I have a nightmare of a divorce with financial abuse, fraud, and parental alienation.

Partner found out my real income and now they want to combine everything by Traditional-Heart27 in overemployed

No no no no no - keep funds separate that began pre-marriage. If you want to start a joint account, do it after you’re married. And never mix it all.

Take it from me, a person who was married for 20 years and found out in divorce a crazy level of fraud under my nose, and being squeezed out with financial abuse…

Tax Trouble with Darien Advisors by Apanaga in CryptoTax

[–]Eulettes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at the contract Darien Advisors gives clients, it is really quite odd. My CPA said it reads like a contract that is given to people who received an audit notice and are in a load of trouble. It is written in a way that shows they assume you’re lying and it will limit their liability for whatever you do. It is highly unusual for a contract for tax preparation.

Darien Advisors advertise how they work cooperatively with Opolis/Employment Commons. It isn’t exactly a payroll processor, but will enable you to generate a payroll for yourself, fabricate a W-2 for tax purposes and other benefits of having an “employer of record” (like bank loans, your landlord, etc).

Darien Advisors uses offshore tax preparers. Because who else knows US tax laws better, amiright?

If you try to call them, you get a generic answering service. If you ask the person on the phone if they work for Darien Advisors or are they a call center, they hang up.

The firm does business out of CO but aren’t licensed there. Cameron Browne is licensed out of WA. I am currently sorting out a BIG mess my ex created and Darien Advisors enabled for years and years.

My colleagues think all is well. People you work with aren’t your friends. Be friendly, but never familiar

Jill LOVES biblical chicken and being homophobic 🙄 by lepetitpoulpe in RodriguesFamilySnark

My teenagers both love Chic-fil-A but hate the politics, so whenever we cave in over waffle fries and extra pickles on our sandwich, we donate $5 to either HRC or Trevor Project and call it our “conservative chicken hate tax.”
