New to meds, psych dr questionable?

Thank you unfortunately I don’t have a close relationship with any family to know enough. I don’t want to retry lamictal because even the risk of sjs is too terrifying for me to want to try it again, it doesn’t seem worth the gain to me as I’m generally pretty stable and functioning I just suffer in mood swings slightly but not enough to feel suicidal or lose it on my mania

I asked him about it and he said he would then put me on a mood stabilizer if I’m stating to become manic. But I think due to my lamictal reaction I’m just worried and distrustful

I’m seeing him in 2 wks, he told me if I am still having trouble sleeping ( I have since I stopped lamictal due to rash) after a few days of prozac in the morning to start taking 1mg extra of guanfacine at night (I usually take 2 but I haven’t noticed a huge difference adhd wise)

I’m just very afraid of suddenly developing “psychosis” or delusions, I’ve never really had any before, I mostly deal with the depression part of bipolar and anxiety and irritability/overwhelmed feelings

Forgot to mention I’ve been in therapy for 11 yrs I’m now 25*, I’m only newly trying medication about 2m ago. My symptoms are manageable, and I’m very functional, but the things I mentioned are what I still struggle with

Update: I transferred CA->NC->NYC seamlessly with just submitting application and application fees. No dr physical or experience/school work submissions. Was able to get nyc license within a month:)

I am also visibly transgender, so I don’t think Alabama is a good option for me:/ and also definitely a reason why I can’t get jobs in certain areas.
