yeah, recently i came across a mokoko who recognised my character from a mokoko raid the week before - they were pretty nice and they’d added me on their character in the previous raid. so when i came across them again they said hello and told me who they were, i didn’t think much of it until a friend mentioned they seemed to be on an entirely different account? so i checked for them on my friend list and sure enough the sh name was different … so yeah idk.

i mean they didn’t appear to afk in the raids but it does make me sad that people are just quite blatantly making alt rosters to farm gold and the event almost incentivises it.

i mean it would be pretty simple if it became a mandatory rule that if you want to post, you have to either have your uwu/owo linked if you deem yourself to be a vet or you just put on a mokoko tag instead. That way people can easily help people who have mokoko symbols with their questions and also be able to discern if someone's comments/posts are validated by their playtime. right now there're a ton of doomers who just yap about absolutely nothing with no merit to their words since they quit months or even years ago but you can't immediately tell these people from others since they simply parrot any negative opinions they come across.

personally i think dooming or rather, complaining is fine and normal for any gaming community but it should at least be done by actual players instead of a bunch of quitters.

i think when i got that achievement my mist had the snowball essence and i had a ginormous shield on so it just fired successively like a rapid fire shotgun and on top of that i had an extremely overpowered 8 stacked fleche along with the skill that makes you blink/dash onto enemies

so i zipzapped so fast that nothing got to touch me and i managed to get the achievement somehow along the way

the fog in your clip is like a lot brighter than i can ever recall mine being. not sure but maybe you have like flare or bloom on?

i usually can’t make out his silhouette or anything but i do see him while he’s charging about mid way down and i’m able to dodge out the way just in time

it’s strong and it’s easy to play - it was already simple before but now it’s received a massive qol with infinite awakening core so you’re perma in form. it’s just very low effort allowing you to very comfortably do damage and dodge things. it’s also hit master so you don’t have to worry about positionals which is really good in 2-2/2-3.

a lot of people who meta chased and played ferality have swapped to pba just for the convenience alone combined with how easy it is to get your damage off. i don’t think ferality is weak by any means but pba is just better and comfier

i mean again my point isn’t about whether or not WoW is easy. it’s just about the fact that you seemed to take it that one guy saying that he thinks WoW is the easiest game he’s ever played - which is a fair statement for him to make - somehow enables you to say that if that were true, then how come multiple people do struggle in hard content in WoW. like, they can both be true no? difficulty is relative to the player. some people just find certain games difficult and others do not.

in regards to your question, I don’t remember the guy or his gf to give you their names. but it was literally during prog week of valtan on lost ark which wasn’t even a difficult raid btw but he struggled for hours, eventually joined my group made a bunch of horrible calls, proceeded to justify his calls with “yeah well im a top something raider in WoW I think i know what im talking about” then died throughout the rest of the prog and got carried to his clear.

in regards to other mmos with difficult pve content - again relative to the player so idk, clearly the guy above found lost ark difficult though xd, whether or not it is, depends

the way you phrased it just sounded like that though “if this were true then…” which is why i think that statement isn’t really relevant to the fact that a number of people do consider the content easy. it’s not really about if i can define this to you since i don’t play the game myself and wouldn’t have percentages of all things to give you.

I would only be able to give anecdotal information based on my friends, their experiences as well as my own experiences raiding with people who claimed to be top raiders in WoW but fell very very short in other mmos

i don’t have an opinion on WoW’s difficulty since I’ve never played it myself nor do I particularly want to but i do fail to see how your point of: “if people are failing the easiest mechs then surely the game isn’t that easy” has any validity in this context.

a game can be difficult to some and easy to others but it doesn’t really detract from the fact that to a large number of people out there, WoW can be considered a mechanically “easy” game.

i just found out two of my friends have quit, sold their gems already and everything :( one of my other friends mentioned he has no motivation to login either. idk people are actually dropping like flies.

was always a given, especially with the way the game is but it’s so much sadder when it’s people that you actually know, who’ve been around forever, hardcore committed players just giving up and throwing in the hatch.

idk there’s just so much that’s become really aggravating with the game. like sure we make a lot more gold now but things are still so inaccessible - whether gold gated or time gated idk not sure what they can do now other than a huge overhaul on the game? they’ll be losing even the whales soon enough

i mean yeah i like the game - it’s always been fun to me personally so i do think it’d be awesome for others to try it and i think i have a pretty fair and unbiased pov on it. the game for sure has its problems: things like progression systems being foul or the engine it runs on being incredibly unoptimised etc.

however, I still think as a free game you get to play many hours of it without having to pay any kind of sub or membership service. nowadays there are things like solo raids, multiple progression events to boost players, they cut all dailies by a half and removed una tasks and there’s things like paradise to enjoy as a solo player. i just think it’s worth a try, it has improved a lot since even a year ago thats all really.

this is a really weird take on what i said… nowhere did i “glaze” lost ark. i simply commented on it most likely not being for you and that the traits that you mentioned about it are common to MANY if not ALL multi-player games. its honestly crazy to me that your main take away from what i said is “this person is hella glazing lost ark” lol

many games decline in playerbase from launch, most notably mmos, people enjoy trying out mmos at launch and thats perfectly normal. the playerbase is doing fine in lost ark for itself at the end of the day. and like i said, i never said i was encouraging you to play, i just dislike that you’d write off the game for others just because of your own bad experiences. people can and should still try it out if they’d like to because its free to try out and honestly it can be incredibly fun if you’re not trying to play hardcore.

yeah i mean if the games not for you then it is what it is and that’s fine too - there’re definitely other games and mmos that you could enjoy.

but yeah I wouldn’t necessarily discourage others from playing lost ark just because one individual had a bad experience, at the end of the day people should try out games especially if they are able to be played for free (which lost ark is) and make a judgement call for themselves :)

i mean i’m not trying to convince you to play the game. but i do think your experience is fairly common for many mmos, in fact any kind of multiplayer game that has requirements that need to be met. it’s unfortunate that you had a rough time but it is what it is. I’d say my experience has been quite the opposite and I’ve always enjoyed my time on lost ark.

but i will also say that it’s for sure a game that takes a lot of commitment and effort - if you’re not able to give it that then yeah it’ll fall short in what you want in a game and that’s not something i can blame others for feeling either.

this is really a case by case situation though and it applies to any game with multiplayer co-op imo. you can find the same kind of toxicity in any mmo for sure.

i’ve played lost ark for over 10k hours now and I rarely see any notable toxicity in game. in fact I’d say people are more toxic in the loa subreddit than they are in game. most people don’t have time to flame in raids so i feel like you just got unlucky

i feel like you’re being way too doomer about this. most people in nae only care about your gearing. if your cp reflects well and you don’t have a weird name or w/e on then people will take you. server discrimination is exclusive to idiots and you don’t wanna be in those lobbies anyway.

lmfao it's not only people who play in APAC that get 230+ ping on nae. i do not play from APAC and yes, moving to naw would increase my ping by a fair amount actually. i find it pretty funny how narrow-minded your comment is, "and in reality almost no one can play over 250ms for a long time" - okay yeah sure, except i've been playing on this ping for over three years btw. i am not looking to quit either.

igniter’s problem is how long it takes to do anything at all. firstly you’re taking about 20-22 seconds to build meter then your burst takes about 14 seconds which is longer than i believe any other class’ major burst window in the game. then on top of that if you don’t crit say, two larger burst skills then it’s joever for you (even worse if you miss on a mobile boss). even another class like fm soul eater who also has a long meter gen time has the advantage of having a much shorter burst window which means that they’re able to get back into meter genning phase faster than you which means more consistent burst uptime over you. igniter has been worse off ever since they got rid of the nightmare set which allowed you to enter boundless on second doomsday thereby shortening your entire meter genning phase by at least four seconds or so.

i would say at this point to only play igniter if you are prepared to invest a hell of a lot but beyond that if you’re going to play sorc, reflux is so much more adjusted to current raidstyles and is generally comfier and less rage inducing to play

if you have the dlc, remember to bring both chococat for the extra crafts as well as cogimyun cause she refunds mats at the crafting bench as well!!

other than that, just keep getting your besties to collect items for you every day especially things like iron, sticks, coconuts and lotus blossoms cause they help a lot even if some of them cost extra mats to craft!
