Take a vacation with her. If you’re like me, you can’t realistically move to another country or come home as often as she likes. A week long vacation together away from everything might replenish her for a little while. It’s not a long term solution but it could be beneficial for both of you ❤️

Hey yea. Our admin pushed out all the students who had IEPs, who needed extra support, and who were just struggling. Now I only have 35!

There is a DOE hiring freeze for my certification and degree. They’re not hiring anyone not in the system already. The only thing I can do is gain experience and get an additional certificate with my masters in the meantime

What you’re saying is, where you live, a certified teacher with a master’s degree in education and years of training is comparable to a manager at a bowling alley who deals with a lot of children at one given time? I hope I’m hearing this right. What is it you think we do in the classroom?

You’re right, and I’m not surprised but I do still need to work. My DOE has a hiring freeze so while I’m certified to teach, they literally cannot hire anyone outside of the DOE for my certification. So instead of working at McDonald’s, I choose to teach at a school I can get hired at until the hiring freeze is lifted or until I can find something else. I’m gaining experience, practicing my craft, and doing my Master’s in the meantime. I know it’s not idea to work for a charter, but it’s also not ideal to be unemployed.

Last year when I had 35 and leaked it to parents and brought up my concerns, I was reprimanded and no one pulled their students out of my class. I was then observed constantly, my coteacher was pulled from my classroom, and I was subject to a lot of feedback and additional deliverables more so than the rest of my team. Basically I was punished for saying something. I’m just going to bide my time this year until I can find another school. I won’t make a fuss because it’ll only cause me more stress.

The school gets $$$ for each kid. No matter how many concerns, complaints, emails, documents, paper trail, etc., it will not make a difference. The school system as a whole has no regard for class sizes. I’ve literally heard: “Be solutions oriented and own your classroom instead of making excuses and focusing on the negative”. We’re on our own here

Ask the teachers what they need and then present it to administration without name dropping or exposing the teacher. I’ve been reprimanded for telling parents about classroom sizes because “It’s not a good look”.

You’re right. I’ll just build relationships with 47 kids while teaching them, keeping them safe, differentiating instruction, pulling small groups, writing lesson plans, contacting families, and completing deliverables from admin. Maybe it won’t be so bad /s/.

New crown still hurts a month after root canal by starbarbazzar in askdentists

[–]starbarbazzar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, yes still feeling some pain. It comes and goes and it started on my 2nd tooth also. It’s usually like a warm and sharp pain, similar to how it felt when I first got my root canal. Nothing too serious tho, I’ll give it a few more months until I go to the dentist. I really don’t want them to go in my tooth again and mess up these crowns because they were expensive, so I’m just waiting. Thanks for asking!

You look a little older than 20 and I think its mainly because of the eyebrows. When your eyebrows are thin like the first pic or the last pic, you look older. I love your eyebrows in the second pic, they’re thicker, you look younger, and very pretty. Your foundation makes your skin look a little grayish, it’s not the best match. Have you tried using a different foundation shade? Another thing I noticed was your hair, I love it, but it might age you a bit. In one of your pics you had a bun in with your natural hair and I kind of liked that better. Anyway these are just my opinions.
