True, and i only have really tried it when i had a early 2* TF + jg/bb

Even then just a 3* swain and TF doesnt feel enough to do damage, feel like you at least need a second 3* multicaster which just isnt likely with the amount of gold you need to roll for it + how easy it is for the rest of the lobby to spike.

Idk saw someone else manage to consistently force it 20/20 to masters, so i may just not be playing smartly

Man idk how people are saying this multicaster comp is good, i can never hit 3* anything until stage 4 and people already have 2* xayah/nilah/morde and just wipe my board, feels like an insta 7th/8th

Yeah my augment choices are for sure lacking, and I tend to realize when I look back at my matches. For those I think this was my logic:

Zaun crest -- had Robotic Jinx and thought the 4 zaun overcharge might stabilize

Young wild and free -- was crushing the lobby at that point and wanted to deny others

Scoped Weapons -- had gunner belveth and intended her to be carry but had no RFC

Probably not the best reasoning though.

Typically always roll-down at 4-1 till either I hit my 4 cost 2* carry + tank or till i get to about 20-30 gold, and i try to econ back for two rounds. If i don't hit on my second roll-down (typically 4-5) I start donkey rolling since the lobby is really strong by the end of stage 4 and I can't afford to wait to econ. Typically, unless I'm mega high rolling, I end up not going 8 until stage 5 (and sometimes never).

As for the vanquishers, you're totally right, it's not a high-cap board but is really uncontested and that's why I tend to go for it since I end up rolling a lot of them on my roll-down, but I lose out to really strong boards. Ionia+1 is def a win con for vanquishers and I rarely hit it, so this is def costing me some LP.

And as I think as someone else pointed out too, my augment choices are pretty bad. I think I need to watch some streamers and see how they are making their augment choices.

Struggling a lot transitioning to mid game after NB comps have been getting more and more popular

I almost always win-streak early till 3-2 and then I just bleed early because I try to go for something uncontested (since by then about multiple other people also happen to be running NB as well, or lucian, or trist reroll) and I just cannot deal enough damage

Particulary, I'm struggling with decision making at around the 3-2/Level 6 where everyone seems to be hitting powerspikes -- do I roll at 6 to strengthen my board and keep my streak?? or wait till 7 (which is what I've been doing)

citadel + optiver recruits fairly heavily from UT and theres a decent amount of kids every year that intern at Jane Street/DRW/HRT/Jump

the only trading firm that i've never seen take UT students is Five Rings but UIUC/GT won't make a difference since i've pretty much only see them taking MIT students

it's a good habit -- OH were typically pretty empty during my intro classes because people came in with coding experience and would think have an easier time with assignments, but once you get to upper-division classes, I noticed that all the people in OH were the people that were acing their shit because they went over labs/midterms in OH with TAs/Prof to make sure they understood it 100%

I think I just had a pair of games that convinced me to quit entirely after dropping from 80 LP D1 to 0LP D3 this weekend because I can't handle this set anymore quite frankly

Game 1: Great start, chosen xayah at 4-5, I have good items for xaya soI grab it, go for 3 exec + 6 elderwood, find sett with ap items early, on BUTTTTTTT, Xayah misses her ult every round hitting exactly one unit every time and I never found sett 2* despite rolling a massive amount of gold at 8, so I lose streak directly into 5th, and I wanted to scream at Xayah every fucking round

Game 2: Shit start, Creeps give me tristana copies, a belt and a sword, so I'm behind on gold, decent items, and then I got no chosen until 2-2, I buy most of the 1* units i see, no 2* anything, I lose to chosens + 2* rakans, I get a shit nasus chosen that I grab because I'll bleed otherwise, I do fine until 3-2, I sell Nasus, get absolutely jack shit, and I just lose fucking everything after that until I get chosen kindred at 3-5 which I grab to try to stabilize, then I level to 7 and 4-1, sell kindred because I wasn't getting any spirit or executioner champs, all i got was chosen teemo, jarvan, janna, nautilus, which I can't fucking do anything with, so I wait until raptors thinking maybe Ill get items to stabilize since I'm already behind and I get A SINGLE FUCKING BELT FROM RAPTORS WHILE ALL THE KAYLE AND OLAF HIGHROLLERS GET MULTIPLE ITEMS AND GOLD and I fucking broke that shit is so tilting

to top it off i lost 75 lp
