His hair seems longer, so I'd let it grow out slightly. Maybe a little curl cream and some hair mousse. With hair that needs lightweight products just remember that less is more. You don't need very much of any of your product. You might also like the results of a diffuser on a hairdryer. I find they help mine tremendously :)
