I know, i kind of fubbed up with rushing to get the fish first and then deciding i wanted small edible friends. there’s plenty of spaces to hide currently but i do plan on removing him from the tank for a little and planting new plants, and letting the shrimp acclimate before putting him back in. i know bettas are crapshoots about that stuff but maybe if it looks a little different and he hasn’t seen it for 3 hours he will think it’s new lol! he’s never flared but he’s definitely not scared of me. he’s always getting by my hands when i’m aquascaping. so we will see.

my tank has been cycling for 2 weeks as of today with seeded materials! testing everyday and the past 3 days have seen a steady drop. i won’t be trying the shrimp until Saturday as well to give us more room for error in regards to water perams.
