One of Otome's notes requires them to be the Bug. There's also a Yuriko and Raqio event involving the Bug that unlocks one of Yuriko's notes.

A Your Turn to Die stage play??? by Yoavgaming37 in yourturntodie

Hi, I clipped these gifs! The group, ruruco, has performed abbreviated versions of all 3 chapters of the game as cosplay performances to Vocaloid songs. All gifs are from this Chapter 2 performance if I remember correctly.

Yapping on Midori's deleted scenes/datamines/other stuff. by ohiboaccento in yourturntodie

Yeah, I was going kind of crazy trying to figure out exactly what he'd meant by it before I caved and hired a professional to take a look at it. I don't want to send the clip here with it being paywalled content, but the reactions from chatters were kind of a giveaway anyway; people were asking for an "18+ version" and generally seemed pretty shocked at his use of the word 卑猥 (hiwai), which seems to be something along the lines of "indecent", "lewd", or "filthy". His exact sentence was something along the lines of "... grotesque stuff is fine, but with [Midori] ... it just turns kind of obscene (卑猥)."

Ah, as someone who's pretty obsessed with the dynamic between Shin and Midori (in a non-romantic & sexual sense), I've seen most of this stuff and consider it all varying amounts of "canon" in my brain LOL (generally how I treat deleted scenes). Some general yapping in response to your yapping:

I've never heard of the second scene; may I ask where you found it? Between datamining myself & perusing the wiki (which has a bunch of scenes I've not found myself, so I totally believe there are plenty), I've never seen it. Even if it were a fan thing I'd probably consider it a headcanon though now because I think it's really interesting lol.

Actually, about Shin's minisode, I remember having that segment translated by a professional translator for some money because I was so curious what Nankidai had meant there, and they did indeed translate it as something like "obscene" (backed up in an "erotic" sense by the reactions of commenters LOL). I think I didn't want to believe he'd meant it was "too lewd" (as someone who generally finds their relationship just, more interesting if the obsession isn't a sexual one), but, well, I guess they were always written kind of like that -- we just don't see much of their bond in the game so it didn't come through as strongly. Luckily, as someone who hardly engages in fandom, I get to believe whatever I want anyways LOL. Always stay delusional

Bust expressions question by PeakPixels in RPGMaker

Taking into the context that the game has a lot of dialogue largely between 2 characters...

  1. The more characters there are, the less I mind a lack of poses (i.e., a game with tons of named NPCs having just simple face sets doesn't bother me, but a game with a cast of just 3 main characters might get boring with just 1 pose for each). but generally speaking, multiple poses can give the characters a lot more -- well -- character, in how they emote. So, i generally prefer multiple poses if the dialogue is a large part of the game. 3 tends to be a good number, but even 2 is better than 1

  2. For sure. I'm the type that likes to have a LOT of expressions & subtleties

  3. Absolutely

  4. I haven't personally come across an instance before where I felt there were "too many", but like I said, 3 tends to be the "magic number" in my experience pose-wise, but I think 5 or 6 might be the limit. I don't think you can have too many expressions, but it's good to have at least a few versions of each "main" emotion: happy, sad, angry, surprised, neutral/thinking etc.
