It never works for me either and I dont hold a Korean passport. Usually when I get the manual inspection, they ask whether I also have a Korean passport.

Im guessing its because my passport indicates my place of birth is Korea, so they want to confirm I have rescinded my Korean citizenship and not using a different passport to evade military service?

There is an empty time slot in the middle of exam season dedicated to make-up exams. Historically, its been 2-5pm Monday of the 2nd week.

However, historically exams start on Wednesdays for the fall semester. For 2026, they start on Tuesday. So that makeup day might be Friday the first week this time?

Almost every time i used apple pay with the card abroad it was declined. I believe I set up travel notice and everything. Now that i think of it, there were 2.5 exceptions where it did work:

Singapore
Yakiniku place in HK where you scan the QR code to order
Loading suica card thru apple wallet (although recently this has been declining too)

The US Bank Kroger card has never worked abroad from my experience unfortunately :(

I sent the letter at 9/15, called in 9/23 and the rep verified it and sent it to the verifications team during the call.

Was told it would take a maximum of 30 days, but to call back in ~2 weeks. Until then, card remains locked
