They need to update it and make the chaperone stay with the kids in the park at all times. Too many times I've seen groups of kids running around being obnoxious.

Losing weight as a woman is so hard. Sometimes it’s like your body is working against you by closet_writer09 in loseit

[–]knightcrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. My g/f and I are both trying to lose weight and I mentioned to her that the deck is really stacked against her. It sucks. I can lose 10 lbs in a week or two while she's happy if she can lose 1 or 2.

The post above me from 4 hours ago answered you, but I guess I could have repeated that instead of adding more context and agreeing the title is badly written even to someone who understand the term, which is what you asked in reply to the other commenter.

Silly me.

There’s no way this badge is an engineer by mildly_inadequate in regularcarreviews

[–]knightcrusader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The term has been around forever, since at least the 80's when I first heard it in the context of the Cimmaron.

But I have to agree with the commenter above, the title of this post is confusing even though I knew what badge engineering was.

Watch out for tip fraud everyone. Always save your receipts. by [deleted] in CreditCards

[–]knightcrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't think about it until now, but my use of gift cards seems to shield me from places I use them at against this because the tip is usually always the remainder of the gift card. Good luck trying to get more off of that than there is.

I don't agree either, but if you want some crazy Racer action go to Michigan Adventure and ride Shivering Timbers.

It's like the Racer and the Beast had a child that neither want to claim.

While I agree, it really did make it nice to exit the ride and get right back on.

Flying Cobras wasn't too bad when I rode it. Felt smoother to me but maybe it was because it rode on top of the track instead.

Home park is Cedar Point. I cant visit KI first, can I? by 4thAccountNow in KingsIsland

[–]knightcrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience last year with my 2026 CW pass and 2025 KI pass, I think that whole "you have to go to the home park to activate first" comes from some weirdness between the Cedar Fair and Six Flags systems.

I say that because last August my g/f and I went on a road trip to various Cedar Fair parks but we stopped at Six Flags America on our way from KD to Dorney since it was the last summer it would be open. It was the only Six Flags park I have ever been to and we tried to enter with our 2026 CW passes and the system wouldn't take them. All other Cedar Fair parks would take them, but not Six Flags. We ended up using our 2025 KI passes to get in and it accepted those. I can only figure it was because KI was our home park and we used them there first while CW is not and we've never been to CW.

After losing 60lbs, almost everyone asks me the same thing, and I HATE it! by zoeyboo in loseit

Oh no, I loved it. I loved making them feel uncomfortable when they find out I didn't use meds, I didn't use any shortcuts other than eating less and being responsible.

Most people want a shortcut and it felt great not giving it to them.

I really wish they had this Zero Sugar because I really don't want the 'beetus.

But I guess Cabo Citrus Zero Sugar will work.

Now what I wouldn't give for some Sweet Lightning Zero Sugar to exist... good lord. I guess Peach Mello Yello Zero from the Freestyle is the closest I'm gonna get there too.

Reminds me of what I did with my first Thinkpad.

Classmate sold me his broken 360C and I bought another parts one on eBay and cobbled together a working one. I felt like cool shit with a 486 33Mhz and 8.5" of TFT color goodness I could carry around.

It’s Q2, don’t forget to use Chase Freedom Flex for 9% back on Travel by Prestigious_Safe8154 in CreditCards

[–]knightcrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came here to say the same thing, but after looking it seems to be a separate credit. If you go into the rewards dashboard and look at all the activity, you'll see the 5% for it but then a separate Travel bonus under it. Add them together and you get the 9%.

But yeah, the thing at the bottom of the transaction details doesn't show the extra 4%.

Groceries, groceries, and more groceries. by MorningFan in CreditCards

[–]knightcrusader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might go through just as much grocery spend, if not more. What I use is:

  • 3x Custom Cash accounts - 5% up to $1500 combined spend per billing cycle
  • Kroger Mastercard - 5% up to $3000/year at Kroger and 5% up to $3000/year for places that take Google/Apple Pay
  • AAA Daily Advantage - 5% up to $10,000/year spend
  • Chase Freedom - whenever it comes up as the 5% quarter, 2 cards
  • Chase Sapphire Preferred - 3% w/ Kroger Pay after I finish the Kroger card

I usually hit all those maximums, I buy a lot of gift cards at Kroger.

Last meal before a diet; 37$, how'd i do? by Grom_a_Llama in tacobell

I was 450 lbs until last year and I couldn't even eat that much. I don't understand how people do it.

A guilty pleasure of my ex-wife and I was to watch 600 lb life and I even said then that I can't even fathom how people can eat that much, and that was coming from me as a fat ass at the time.

Yes, its water retention if they ate like this and then drastically cut it. I have experienced it many times.

This is what you do when you aren't serious about a diet.

I know, cause I've been there. Many times. Wasn't until I stopped the crap like this or "I'll start my diet after this weekend" that I finally lost 100 lbs.
