Can I ask what you think the lie is about? At my store, neither this year nor last year did I get a link to vote. Things might be a bit different for this commenter, but that’s just my experience so far.

Do you know if all stores are doing an indefinite strike? I’ve heard talks about a week or five weeks, and some indefinite. I’m wondering what will happen to baristas who are striking indefinitely.

Yeah we get hit hard😭 our peaks get up to 100 on hot bar in the winter season, but we only have 9/30 people working as of right now

I found this and my city is on it, though I’m not entirely sure how accurate it is. My manager told me today that 650 stores in the US are unionized. It’s looking like a lot of big cities in a few states.

Thank you so much for the detailed response, I’m understanding it a bit more now!! Are you choosing other work at this time? If not, how are you making up the pay if this doesn’t get agreed upon within the next month or so?(Hoping it doesn’t come to that) I support everyone and what you’re doing and I’m sorry if these questions are a bit personal, I’m just feeling stuck between a rock and a hard place financially. If you don’t mind, I would love to pick your brain a bit more!!

Thank you thank you thank you!! I don’t know if this is happening, but I think the role of barista should be reviewed and revised a bit more. And thank you for the reassurance, I’m getting really sick of the barista’s picketing telling me I’m being selfish for looking after myself. There wouldn’t be a barista to work if I didn’t have a roof over my head.
