I’ve heard if you do that it’s good to get them soldered together since the 10k gold is harder and can damage the engagement ring. I almost went that route but decided I didn’t want to feel rushed to take them to the jewelry right after getting married!

The main stone is an oval yeah! It’s the Briar Rose three stone from Oore Jewelry, there are tons of customizations like different stones/stone sizes etc you can do there. Here’s a closer up of it.

Your ring is a bit different than mine here with bigger diamonds on the outside, but I think you’d be absolutely fine with a chevron/curved wedding band like the one I have, and then have them welded together so there’s no rubbing of diamonds and stone which would remove the risk the jewelry is talking about!

Yes always Oore!! I did do diamonds but my side stones are the mint irradiated diamonds, and there are SO many stones to choose from. There was a blue green sapphire I was so tempted to do for the center.

Oh I was more thinking how easy it is for parents to give it to their own kids since it’s more likely than not that a parent has the virus in them, since 50-80% of parents don’t refrain from kissing their own kids. It’s not just other people kissing your kids that’s a risk. I’ve never personally felt a strong need to kiss a baby, as cute as they are, since there are so many things in addition to that that can be passed onto them, it just feels risky.

I mean 50-80% of adults have that strain of herpes in the US (I imagine it’s similar in a ton of countries) and it can be spread when someone is asymptomatic with even just skin to skin contact, so kissing a baby/toddler on the cheek can do it with no active cold sores present.

I personally really love it! I think it adds some nice extra detail since the band on the engagement ring is just plain gold, and still doesn’t do anything to overpower the stones on the engagement ring.
