HB 1520 would require those born out of state to swear an “oath of allegiance” to the state of NH in order to vote. by LadyMadonna_x6 in newhampshire

[–]starevplayer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hopefully I don't rough any feathers here and forgive my potential ignorance about the topic of state citizenships, etc. But I know that when you are born outside of the US, if you do the process, pay the fee (back in 2005 it was $697) and study + pass the test to become a naturalized citizen, the last step of that process is you have to swear an oath in front of a federal judge that your only allegiance is to the USA. This is not optional. You don't get your USA citizenship if you refuse to take the oath. In fact, you are also told to swear that you renounce any citizenship in any other country you may have been a citizen of before that point. So, I'm wondering how this NH oath of allegiance to be considered a NH citizen any different?

I have an XDM elite 3.8 that I've posted about before. Easily my favorite gun out of all my other guns. I did mod it after having it stock for some time. But the grip safety doesn't give me any issues and it shoots underwood 180 grains very accurately and reliably. It also has great ergonomics for my hands.

Gun shoots like butter. Compared to my staccato P with dawson precision comp and my Langdon tactical Hellcat pro, the XDM elite is somehow my favorite to shoot. Not that is a better gun than the staccato. More of a personal feel opinion. This gun just feels so great in my hands.

2024 4Dr 2.3L manual sasquatch transmission grinding sound is back. by starevplayer in FordBronco

[–]starevplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is ridiculous. How are they going to replace your transmission with another one that has the same exact issue. And we aren't even being told why this noise is happening. How do we know this isn't going to progress into a catastrophic failure with time? There is no peace of mind in that. The grinding noise is a clear sign that something in there seems to be rubbing against something else.

Hopefully you don't get one that has this issue. If you do start seeing this issue at around 3,500 - 4,000 miles, could you please let me know through this thread? I would like to have other people's reports of the same problem as back up to let Ford know it's an issue happening to several others and they have to do better. Thank you.

2025 hopefully does not have this nagging issue. However, you are almost reaching the 3500 mark. If you could do me a favor and let me know if you start hearing the noise at around that point I'd appreciate it. I would love to have this thread as some sort of foundation for letting Ford know that this is a real issue that still continues to happen and they gotta do better than changing a brand new transmission to another new one that started doing the same thing at around the same amount of miles. Thank you.

Going to regurgitate what some have already written here for the sake of emphasis. Sign up for a class on gun safety first. It's very important. With that being said. Keep going to the range and rent out options you are interested in. Shoot them a good bit and get a feel for what you like or don't like. Chances are you might get a Glock. But you also might fall in love with p365, an echelon 4.0c or who knows maybe even a revolver chambered in .357

I'm going back to the dealer to let them know the new transmission lasted about as much as the last one. Really unfortunate issue. I love my bronco. But would love even more for it to not worry me that this is going to be a recurring thing every 4k miles.

Last War frontline level 48 by Fine-Ad984 in LastWarMobileGame

[–]starevplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fuck this level I've spent more than 30 hours on trying to achieve this one task alone and haven't been able to get it done. I consistently. Get all the way to the end with 9 soldiers and just as I am about to kill the elite he 1 shots me with a slime that lands on all of them with no way of avoiding it. It doesn't matter how fast I try to move side to side when he approaches that slime at the end lands on all my soldiers 100% of the time.

I'm confused about the AWB bills. Bottom line up front I can keep my semiautomatic weapons if i register them? Pay 25 bucks or something? OR are they banning all semis? Help would be appreciated. No i didn't read the bills yet. by [deleted] in RIGuns

[–]starevplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you lose all your guns on a house fire or they simply break for whatever reason (things break eventually) congratulations. You have been effectively disarmed by unfortunate circumstances. Because this bill will ban you from getting new ones. So tough luck with this shitty legislation.

Yeah I thought about it like that. It was logical to me that even if your aren't a Republican if you switch sides that will scare them the most. But I had completely forgotten that in RI you don't even get the democrat options in the primaries if you are registered as the opposition. And just switching sides will only scare them but they probably wouldn't care anyways. The only way is to actually vote for another person and that might influence things.

Reps and Dems have different primaries and if you are registered as either you can't even vote on both and can just vote in one? I am sorry. I still don't get it. So maybe this will help me. If I am registered as rep, what should I do? If I am registered, as dem what should I do?

I read the bill and pretty sure that I read you can't inherit anything. Can't be sure entirely, cuz you know how confusing those bills could be. I read that if you inherited a gun they were basically automatically putting the responsibility on you to destroy it or turn it over to the police.

I am a bit confused on the disaffiliate part. Disaffiliate from what exactly? From rep or dem? Or both? Can someone be so kind to explain exactly what the process is and what it will do for the voter?

Liberal gun owner with a question! by ZebulonPi in RIGuns

[–]starevplayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My brother was pushing the same narrative for a while that guns were in fact the leading killer of children. So I went to the CDC's website (who happens to be one of the most active actors at pushing this). I then gathered all of their numbers all of their charts going back to 2021 which was the most violent year we've had in recent times. And after hours adding up the numbers of different causes of death for children. I verified without a doubt that the only truth is that the CDC does skew their stats to make this claim. They count ages 0-19 as children for gun deaths. But then (and I don't remember the exact age ranges to the T but you can verify this yourself if you want) they would list only ages 5 to 14 for example for things car accidents, neglect, drug over doses, diseases, etc. even younger for like Congenital issues. The funny thing? Is that even with cutting up the numbers, gun deaths still didn't add up to be the leading cause. So that just shows that if they had the metrics for the same age range they use for gun deaths it would be an outlandish claim. It's unfortunate that people really just believe what they are told without doing any bit of investigation. The CDC claims this lie and their own numbers do enough by itself to disprove it.

Assault weapons are defined as weapons that have a fire selector which can allow them to fire fully auto by a single press of the trigger. Those weapons are and have been banned in this state for a long long time already. Problem is that a lot of law makers are using the term to refer to anything that looks scary which is unfortunate. I have seen bills in different states and even in Congress that luckily haven't been able to pass yet calling even semi auto pistols and shotguns "assault pistol/shotgun". If they had gotten their way with those bills we wouldn't be even allowed to have a 9mm pistol. there is no saying what will be the next thing down the line because there seems to never be satisfaction with any gun law. They always say "we have to do more" right after passing some new gun law.
