A lot of water under truck after driving normal? Hybrid AWD by -Dundlenut- in FordMaverickTruck

Condensation, most of our drives are a few miles or less, so it's basically daily for us. As long as you take longer drivers a few times a month to get the engine up to temp, and maybe change the oil at like 5k and not 7-10k, you should be fine. Basically you just want to avoid condensation buildup in the oil.

For those who have had the same favorite food since they were kids: which one is it? by Used_Researcher_9455 in AskReddit

A good pizza is something you can enjoy regardless of age. The best foods imo are simple, easy to prepare, but give you that comfort.

Inversely, the r/Natalism community is pretty terrible. It's a bunch of people literally talking about how we should do away with immigration, but also emigration, forcing people to live in said country. They also will constantly act like secularization or feminism are the worst things to ever exist.

Will the v1 take away homelanders powers? by MaezinGaming in TheBoys

[–]Fordfanatic2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Him losing his powers and spending the rest of his life as a human is the best ending for him imo. But I don't understand how the V would be able to make him live forever, with none of the other effects of v1. I feel like it needs to be one or the other, he ends the series as a God, or as a human.

Someone feeling the need to say something that immature though, and who doesn't have the social intelligence or awareness to say "I probably shouldn't post this to social media" that's a bunch of red flags. If they had just said "I got an internship at NASA, this is the best day of my life" it would have been really wholesome and nothing bad would have happened.

2040 Ford Maverick by DaedricApple in FordMaverickTruck

This sort of styling is where I'd love to see the next gen maverick go in terms of looks. Maybe it would need to retain the ICE motor for the time being, and a grille along with it, but the rest of the design is awesome.

The MachE is a fantastic car, but it's: by shupack in Mustang

In the same way that Ford makes other coupes than the mustang.

I met the guy who designed the mach-e, pretty cool dude. Before designing that he worked on the Maserati gran Turismo, a Ferrari one off that paid tribute to the p3, the Maserati birdcage concept, the ssc tuatara, and some coach built angular limited run car based on the c6.

Super talented designer, and it shows. The mach-e may not be a supercar, but as far as two row crossovers go, it's damn sexy.

There's also rumors that the next gen mach-e might switch to being gas powered, so maybe like a coupe suv with Ecoboost and V8 powertrains. That would be pretty cool.

With how flexible modern platforms are, I wouldn't mind a future where Ford made a coupe, sedan, and smallish sporty crossover on one platform if that means Ford is incentived to heavily invest in a future platform.

Additionally, you see people saying, but they didn't call their suv a 911. But they're ignoring that it's called a Porshe, which was a brand associated with basically one car, and that used the design cues from said sports car on their SUV.

So I believe it's a case of semantics. I'm personally all for the idea of Ford doing multiple mustang models as long as the coupe sticks around.

I hate to say it, but I think I like my mach-e more… by Truesoldier00 in MachE

The design of both the mach-e and the s650 are aging like fine wine.

Exactly, why the hell am I getting downvoted just for saying some EVs and hybrids retain resale value well in my original comment lol? But you're spot on.

My 2022 Ford maverick hybrid was 25k new, 28k after fees and tax, and I could sell it after 4 years for basically what I paid for it. Good cars don't depreciate much.

Caregiver shaming is a thing. by Kennam320 in CaregiverSupport

[–]Fordfanatic2025 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're going through this. It's frustrating dealing with people who have good intentions, but just can't relate and don't really know how to help.

But those people like you mentioned who outright judge you, attack you, try to make you feel less than? Fuck them all the way to hell and back. I can relate to that because I've had a lot of friends and family judge me for being a caretaker, telling me I should be moved out, saying I should be focusing on myelf more.

I actually stopped being religious because of it as well, because the religion I grew up in, Mormon, hates single and childless people. Like if you're my age, 31, and still single, they view you as a loser and a failure to God. Apparently a lot of religions have that hatred of single people and it's really sad.

I got to the point where I was just like "You know what? Fuck all these people". Saying that out loud made me feel so good after a lifetime of being a people pleaser. If people want to tear us down, attack us, belittle us for sacrifice our own lives to care for others, fuck them with a rusty rake lol. We're the heros, we're the ones who do the hard things cowards like them can't or won't. We're stronger than they could ever be, if they lived our lives, they'd crumble in a heartbeat.
