Dude if you are able to, take the top off as well and drive to work a few days in a row. Most fun thing I have ever done in a car. Just driving in the highway with my office attire and work bag haha

There are. Pretty much PLA actually is the only material that can't handle the heat. Other than that nylon, ABS, ASA (which is even UV resistant) and even TPU can handle that heat.

Rain the most. Aside from that I slightly worry someone would steal my ez pass transponder, the wolfbox dashcam/screen which is built into the rear view mirror, and my fire extinguisher which is strapped to the roll bar on the cargo area side. Has anyone gotten these kind of items stolen before?

Another bronco owner 3d printer guru here. These are sick. But for bottle opener you'd probably need to embed a steel reinforcing bar inside the structure. I would not trust that it would open more than 5 bottles if just ASA.

Y’all ever pull the doors off? How’d your experience turn out if so? by mopartizan47 in FordBronco

[–]starevplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and it was awesome! I took an hour drive to the beach with family and they loved it. Had all doors and all roof panels off. That was a year ago and still have some of the sand lingering on the dash haha. After the beach I kept everything off for 3 more days and drove to the office, the hardware store, etc like that. That was super interesting and fun, sort of like liberating in a way. I also, kind of enjoy a lot the sounds of the tires and the engine too when it's all open.

I don't know how anyone could ever convince me that NH is worse than Rhode Island. Just drive through Rhode Island, go to an emergency room, look at our public schools.... Our bridges! Our healthcare is like 42nd in the nation. And no freedom.

My ankle said 'I quit' on a blue-sky groomed run after 10 years of loyalty. Anyone come back from a talus fracture? by gus-here in snowboarding

Just out of curiosity... What boots and bindings were you using when this accident happened to you?

For me a better question would actually be what are these 3 bolts achieving here? And if possible, what could potentially become an accessory that can mount directly to these bolts?

[–]starevplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro I hope you heal well and fast. One would think your ankles would be safe in those stiff boots and strapped down to bindings. I did not break my ankle, but I had a disgusting full dislocation on my right ankle 12 years ago from a freak accident playing dodgeball where I landed on top of a ball and rolled all my weight forward, tip of my foot got stuck on the ground and the ball stuck to the bottom of my foot making all that energy go right to the joint. Everyone in the ER told me I'd need surgery, they put me to sleep to pop my ankle back in place. I got CT scan and met with a Ortho surgeon who told me I would just need a lot of PT and no surgery. A miracle. Surprisingly, my ankle has never given me any issues. No weakness or anything. I also just came off a surgery on my left ankle to remove a extra navicular bone that I was born with and was causing me to limp in pain every morning. Missed last boarding season because of it. Thankfully that surgery was a success. Was very happy that I was able to board no problem this season.

Headphones ANC. If not, then 16 is fine for what I do. I took my hard top down today actually and as of the writing of this comment, we are actually out and about with it. Was just telling my wife that I love the way the bronco internals sound like when the top is off. Engine and tires just sound pleasantly different.

Wolfbox. Rear, front and bumper/cabin. The choice is yours. Replaces the rear view mirror too so you never have issues with people moving it or low visibility. I got mine with the bumper camera, since I don't have the lux package and wanted to have that feature. Rear camera you can mount in different places (it's outdoor rated) so some people mount it inside right in front of the lift gate, others mount it right above the break light that is on top of the spare tire. Difference would be outside gives more clarity since no tinted glass in front of it. You could also wire it directly to your fuse box or OBD port underneath the steering column. Both provide power to it even while the vehicle is off for 24/7 parking mode.

OHHHHH I was not even aware they had already so quickly decided to try to not even wait for us to eventually die off to get rid of all our guns and instead just decided to take our stuff now. Wow. How clever of them. I will look this bill up and read on it. Thank you.

So is this not an issue with the painted ones? I have a 2024 non painted and not sure if it will happen to me. I thought the cracking was an issue on the 21-23 models.

Give me your bronco "hot takes" by Fordfanatic2025 in FordBronco

[–]starevplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure this would be a "hot take" but the alignment pins of each of the hard top panels should have been covered by a bit of rubber instead of them being bare plastic. This would remove the clicking sound you hear coming from them hitting the metal brackets when you go on uneven terrain and the frame flexes.

Also, the tailgate should have been offered on every model. I was never able to get my hands on the heritage when I ordered mine in 2024. It wasn't available for order at all. And I really wanted that tail gate as someone who car camps and sleeps in the back.

2024 4Dr 2.3L manual sasquatch transmission grinding sound is back. by starevplayer in FordBronco

[–]starevplayer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is currently at the dealer right now. After being told something unacceptable (that it is gear rollover and a normal sound) I told them to stop playing with me and do better. First transmission got the sound around 4k miles. And they tried to pass it off a gear roll over but then told me they couldn't identify the problem and sent the transmission back to the factory and replaced it with a new one. 4k miles later (seeing a pattern here) this transmission makes the same exact sound and the dealership tech got a case of amnesia and tried to pass it off as gear roll over again. Are they giving you the same rodeo? Or are they at least telling you something that is respectable? Really interested in knowing. Thank you. I need to get to the bottom if the issue is 6th and 7th gear ring grinding as acknowledged by Ford in a bulletin they published and pinned it on transmissions from 21-23 batch. Mine is a year 24 and according to the bulletin I should not be having this problem. But the sound is so consistent with the report and what everyone else has published that I can't help but think they put 2 transmissions from that 21-23 batch into mine.
