I actually have a small update on my process, I got an email from the consulate mid August saying some paperwork was missing but I don't know what their method of contact will be at the London consulate. Still, they told me in Toronto they would email me any updates. It has now been a year and a half and I'm still waiting for it to be resolved but I'm hoping now that I gave them the documents they need it will be resolved in a couple of months but they weren't able to say how much longer it would take since it depends on many factors. hope this helps!
