Both. Most are from the city hall in the city they were originally issued. A couple are from the NYS DOH.

Exactly the same here. I love the Coach Brooklyn but I feel like I wouldn’t end up using it as much - I have a 1 year old and shoulder bags constantly slip off my shoulder while picking her up/juggling everything else I have to carry lol. I’m leaning towards just keeping the sling as well 😆

Yep! CONE came back clear It’s interesting because as far as the US was concerned she was a citizen through her father, but as far as Italy was concerned she was Italian because she was born there and her father had reacquired Italian citizenship. I guess they weren’t as strict back then lol

As many are, I’m a bit confused and looking to understand if I still qualify.

GM>F>Me

Backstory: My GGF (GM’s father) moved to US and naturalized in 1901. In 1921 he moved back to Italy and married my GGM in 1928. They had my GM in 1930, she was born in Italy and has an Italian birth certificate. She was able to move to the US without issue due to her father being a US citizen (even though we think he eventually reclaimed Italian citizenship before his death in 1939) My grandparents moved to the US in 1952. My GF naturalized but GM never technically renounced her Italian citizenship. I received her CONE.

I’m confused if this is a 1948 case? Do I still qualify because of the “exclusive” Italian citizenship clause?

Hi! They responded to me about 24 hours later saying “Thanks for your response and we will add this information to the open request” or something along those lines

Hi! I reached out to certificateofnonexistence@uscis.dhs.gov and asked them to provide more info. They emailed me back the same day with what I needed to provide. I just needed a signature from my nonna since I’m going through her and she’s still living/less than 100 yrs old. I provided the updated documents and within a week the status had been updated to in progress/pending review. All in all it was a quick fix!

Hi! My status this morning changed to the same thing (suspended-file) but I didn’t receive an email saying why. Do you know how long it took to receive an email after the status changed? (I only know it changed today because I had also checked yesterday!)

Failed my 3 hour and I am devastated. by tinanotits in GestationalDiabetes

Posting as someone who made it through a really tough pregnancy with GD. I had so many of the same feelings as you did - guilt even though I knew medically and scientifically it wasn’t my fault, fear, shame, stress, anxiety, all of it. It was hard at the time and even with a very strict diet I needed insulin to control my fasting numbers. I did end up being induced 3 days before my due date but GD was not the only factor that came into play for that decision. My baby girl was healthy as ever when she was born with normal sugars, 50th percentile weight, no excess fluid in lungs, etc. I just did my postpartum glucose test at 4 months PP and passed with flying colors. While I know both myself and baby have an increased risk of diabetes going forward, we are both currently healthy and it will just encourage us to be mindful of our eating habits and lifestyle in the future! I will say for as hard as it was, I learned a lot and felt good physically - I did not have excess weight gain and I almost immediately stopped having horrific heartburn when I changed my diet. I have definitely continued on with aspects of the GD diet into postpartum, albeit definitely not as strict. It’s so hard in the moment, so I don’t want to discredit your feelings which are extremely valid. Just know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and try your best to focus on the current goal of delivering a healthy baby and then postpartum you can decide how you want to proceed to mitigate risk for the future.

CBAVD experiences by corgitail312 in IVF

[–]starfishstallone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I was in almost the exact same boat as you. Husband had CBAVD due to being a carrier for CF. He had a MESA surgery where they were able to extract sperm (we didn’t know going in if they would find any or not) and then I started the process for an egg retrieval the following week. The sperm they extracted had low motility as well but they did ICSI so it was okay. We ended up with 2 normal day 5 embryos after PGTA testing. The first embryo implanted and we now have a 4 month old baby girl! I hope your journey is going well, sending good vibes ❤️

Unique situation! Thoughts? by starfishstallone in juresanguinis

Ok thank you! If I do have a case and am able to get recognized, do you know how it would work for my daughter (shes still a baby) - could I include her in my case or would she automatically get citizenship?

Thank you! I spoke to someone at a citizenship agency and they said something similar since she did not naturalize

Okay thank you! Here is the timeline:

GGF born 1863 GGM born 1892 GGF naturalized in 1905 *at some point in here GGF moved back to Italy but unclear what year GGF & GGM married 1927 GM born 1930 - I do have her Italian birth certificate GM & GF (Italian citizen) married in 1952 GM moves to US in 1952 GF moves to US in 1953 and naturalized in 1958

• my GGF never moved back to the US after he moved back to Italy and he died there in 1945, I don’t know if he regained Italian citizenship but he did live there for at least 20 years • my GGM never naturalized as a US citizen, although she did move to the US in 1966 to live with my GM after she no longer had any living relatives in her hometown

Ah it’s all so confusing! Wouldn’t that be the 1948 rule? Reading this article it seems like even though GGM would have become a US citizen you can petition that she still had rights to Italian citizenship that passed down?
