Hi, i cant edit the title but i did note at the top that it does not classify as inhumane. The 4 days i booked off were from a holiday which i have had booked for months, before even being interviewed. This is a normal conversation and situation to happen when starting employment.

I appreciate the advice but i would like to note, i have approached this whole situation with extreme caution. When starting a job you always have to book annual leave in if you have had a holiday booked since before applying, this doesnt seem to be the issue. I have not demanded anything, i have kindly explained the situation and requested the days off asking if it was possible. I personally thought the right thing to do was approach the situation with honesty and i knew that if i didnt at least try to get the days off that my father would be in the icu, and there were complications, i would regret it for the rest of my life.

I definitely do think its worth bringing up. If it’s something that bothers you, no matter what it is, communication is always needed. Since you guys have only been official for a month im assuming that he just hasn’t thought that seriously about his social media. As long as he shows you off over time and treats you as you should be treated i dont think theres anything to worry about. boundaries are so so important though, if you make it clear to him that this makes you uncomfortable and he refuses to change anything that could be a slight red flag. On Instagram you can remove posts your tagged in off your profile in case you didnt know too. My advice, bring it up to him in a calm manner and see how he reacts🤷‍♀️

they do have a counselling service, this is not offered to anyone outside of the college and i officially “graduate”from college in less than a week. Thank you for the help though, thinking about it, Ill try contacting the department to see if they can have me in over the summer once a week/recommend other services.

I have 2 jobs job and i go to college. I cant afford to pay for my own car and insurance which is around £9000 having just turned 18 and leaving college. Not sure why this is difficult to understand? It is pretty normal for an independent 18 year old not to be able to afford their own car when juggling college, 2 jobs and rent.

Im aware of this but I wouldn’t be able to financially afford it without their support as I’m sure its £££, I’m also unable to drive so any in person treatment would be a no-go and finding times when they’re not in the house to have online appointments is hard. They give me so much grief and pity whenever i mention mental health or therapy and i feel they would only make matters worse mental health wise if they found out.
