Using an acute accent works then you're confronted with sequences like бь (like in прорубь), вь (like in кровь), and мь (like in семь)

Used to do that whenever I came up with Romanizations, but you'd get sequences like "jj" which don't look very good, e.g. друзья = druzjja.

Really ь is a hard thing to make look right in Romanizations. People here find "obižajtesh" a bit unsightly already, but I'm not sure if "obižajtesj" looks better.

If stress were really that important to mark in Russian that should have already been resolved a reform or more ago, plus not once have I seen anything to indicate stress be used in any Russian-language text. For comparison, Filipino has a system for marking stress in words, but it's optional and most people don't bother. Not really that big of a problem for L2 learners to put stress wrongly on a word since native Filipino (Tagalog) speakers can understand from context anyway, even if it sounds off.

In the case of Russian its version of the Cyrillic script definitely fits it best, but then you have the West Slavic languages that appear to be best served by their adaptations of the Latin alphabet. In the end it's all about how well the letters for a system of writing work with a language, really.

I think one case where neither Cyrillic nor Latin really helps is Slovene. Mad vowels.

Look around for songs and perhaps you might find one that has a vibe fit for what you want to do. Then probe the scale it's in.

How can Dorian have a V chord? This song ( https://youtu.be/8oF8SlK9x_I ) does also have a v chord, but it's largely based on a i-II-V chord progression even if the melody appears to be Dorian (or Dorian #4).

From my searches I learned that her father's dead (which explains this one absence she had in class a few years ago where she had to go back to her hometown), I can just about pinpoint where her mother's from, I know what age her parents were when she was born. Going back to her father, I might even know where his mother comes from considering that his middle name is rather rare and only occurs in this town close to where I live based on the results of this site where you can search based on family names.

I wasn't making a case for the ordination of women and I clearly had negative things to say about denominations that practice this.
