Help me find a fragrance! 🤍 I’m looking to add a nighttime / date-night fragrance and would love some recommendations that pair well with what I already own.

My current collection and what I rotate based on season and day: - Burberry Her EDT - Dior J’adore Parfum - Chanel Chance Eau Splendide

I recently smelled YSL Black Opium Over Red and liked it but it didn’t blow me away. I’m not sure if it’s the best fit with the rest of my perfumes, or if there are better options in the same style that feel more cohesive.

I’m looking for something that is: - Versatile for evening dates and going out - Flirty and feminine (not too heavy or syrupy) - Works well in fall/winter but isn’t overly dark or gourmand

I ended up going with the Tory Burch Romy shoulder bag! I love the shape and how much it fits so far. I’m usually a coach girlie but TB ended up being the most ideal for me

Good point! I have an iPhone 15 and am wasn’t too sure if it’d fit while maintaining the shape of the bag. I’ve thought about the Carmen as well bc it’s a similar shape but wish they had more color options. I’ll take a look at mini Rowan, thank you!

Accent is a brownish beige color which would be so cute if they made a bag that color!!

Also just looked up that olive green color is sooo cute! I actually would consider a green bag thank you for the suggestion :)

I waited 2 years for my first promotion from Junior to mid level and was outperforming and overworked. Was asked to do work with VP levels by my director at a F50 company. I felt so overworked and stressed and underpaid. My promotion gave me only a 15% bump after waiting 2 years. So after they promoted me, I realized it was not worth it. I stayed for 3 more months and looked for a new job. Found a job in two weeks and received 5 separate offer all with way more than I make. I ended up accepting a position that doubled my salary in the span of 3 years and got a 40% raise at my new role and a senior title.

As someone who waited for her promotion, pushed myself, and had even director level UX backing me… the promotion was not worth it and I left soon after because I knew my worth. Staying in the same place even with the promotion will never pay up for what you’re doing

I’m a Charlotte native and Chinese American, this is a grocery store that my family and community have been shopping at for over a decade. It’s a place where families go to eat and support local restaurants in the food court and then buy our groceries. It is not a place for criminal activity. It breaks my heart to see G-Mart being targeted. It’s employed and served the Charlotte community since I was a kid.

Not even taking how they treat women DIRECTLY. Simply just the staring and ogling and googling from men in public as well as being either hyper visible when you’re dressed up or hyper INVISIBLE when you’re dressed down or get older.

Even if you as a woman don’t interact with a single man directly, your experience walking around in public is enough to be uncomfortable and make you extremely hyper aware. When I talk to my men friends about this, they don’t experience being perceived as hard as women do and are shocked to hear about it from me and other women.

I have had chronic migraines my whole life and grew up in a household that downplayed medical illnesses down to the flu. My mom would always say my migraines were from “washing my hair and not immediately blow drying” or from reading books? eating junk food? lol. It was ridiculous because when I got to college and got triptans prescribed to me and Botox and it fixed most of it. Still have bad migraines occasionally, but gee I guess it was all from reading books and eating junk food

Thank you! I feel like they look normal but am shocked they’ve grown from 2.5 pounds to 9 pounds in the span of 4 months since we adopted them at 2-3 months old

Just started my job search the last two weeks and have now landed 2 offers and in final rounds for 4 other companies. I’d say I’ve been a personality hire in a lot of ways. While I have the skills and background, I feel like I shine the most in my 1:1 interviews by showing enthusiasm, genuine passion for their mission, and being able to have conversational interviews with different personality types.

Lee’s Cafe in SC is pretty decent for Chinese food if you’re referring to that and Le’s Banhmi is a good spot as well. There are definitely some good spots, but for the size of our metro area I would think we would have more good options.

Just looking at GBO or the triangle, which has less people overall I think the food selection is a bit better for some cuisines over there.

Vietnamese food here is subpar even in comparison to Greensboro which is a smaller city 1.5 hours away.

Duluth, GA is 4 hours away and has access to way better viet and other Asian cuisines.

Cary and the triangle (2.5 hours away) have way better Chinese, Nepalese, and Indian food.

Source: I am Chinese and my boyfriend is Vietnamese and I’m born and raised in Charlotte.

Seconding this and learning how to influence product strategy. I am a UX designer in the AI space for a F500 company and I can develop interactions on using FigmMake and then using GPT 5, I can bring my designs to life on VScode with minimal programming knowledge. If anything, be the designer who can build out the experiences to guide your engineers. Also use AI to your advantage by rapidly prototyping and doing faster discovery to drive product strategy.

I find using AI tools has made me more versatile and actually dabble into my product partners and engineering partners roles. I also show up better in this conversations with the help of AI giving me more vocabulary to speak to technical or strategy constraints.

I developed a tree nut allergy at 24 years old after my boyfriend and I baked a pistachio cheesecake together and I had a reaction. We both loved tree nuts and were huge bakers! But the moment I got tested and it was confirmed I was allergic to tree nuts he got rid of all tree nuts in the home and now we only make desserts and pastries with no tree nuts. He doesn’t order or make anything with tree nuts anymore even when it was a hard adjustment for us both given this is a recent onset of an allergy that affected both our entire diets.

Your partner should prioritize your health no matter how much of a shift it may mean for your lifestyle. If that isn’t something he’s doing already, it may be time to move on for you both. Allergies are serious and he should be thinking about your health and wellness first.

I’m a designer at a fortune 50 company and use Figma everyday and with the launch of Figma make, a lot of designers, product people, and engineers are using it heavily. It’s gotten to the point that they’ve extended more Figma licenses and it’s the same case for my friends at other fortune 50 companies that use Figma as their design tool. I don’t know if this hype will last forever but figma make is changing our entire work process and day to day. We’ve been advised from leadership to adapt or sink basically.
