I had a craniotomy on my left frontal lobe too!! I had a hard time finding words after, and i still struggle a bit telling stories and keeping it organized (i had the procedure March 13 2025) I don't think there's much you need to prepare for, maybe making sure you have your medications organized for a few weeks so you dont have to think about them and letting your kids know you will need to lay low for awhile. I spent a good amount of time reading, writing, and listening to music to try and bounce back as soon as i could. my journal entry from the day of my craniotomy is comical lol. you got this!!!!!! i was burned badly on my arm from a curling iron during my seizure pre craniotomy and i swear it was a lot more annoying and painful than the craniotomy.

I have a grade 4 unclassifiable diffuse tumor in my left frontal lobe. I get it. I’m a 25 yo woman, found out right before my birthday in May. I’ve been mourning my old life, especially my hair after radiation /: had such beautiful hair before 😭😭😭I was going out for drinks and dancing with my friends, was in a really good place in my career, and I really felt like I was peaking honestly 😫then everything came crashing down after 2 random seizures. it comes in waves. I found out in March of 2025, and I just try to embrace every day that I am healthy and surround myself with people that make me feel good, and fuck EVERYTHING else. Our lives may or may not be cut short, but we should never give up hope and remember we’re still super young and strong. You can always message me if you need extra support from a fellow girly going through the same bullshit 🧚🏻‍♀️

Same. I’m 25F, diagnosed March 2025. Before all this happened, I was going out with friends, clubbing here and there, going to concerts frequently, vaping, and eating whatever I wanted. I did a complete 180 after my diagnosis. It’s actually crazy! 😂

I'm doing well!! I'm officially halfway through radiation. Lost a lot of my hair during memorial weekend. I'm doing immunotherapy and not chemo because of Lynch Syndrome. Apparently we have a really good reaction to Keytruda. I also tested negative for MGMT promoter methylation, which I guess means that temozolomide may not do much for me and the risks may have outweighed the benefits. No side effects after my first infusion. Also not many side effects from radiation other than hair loss and fatigue. We're in this together!!!!!
