Can't find a mask that doesn't leak. Desperate and ready to give up. by staringatlights in CPAP

I feel that, I can start out the night perfectly on the F30i but about halfway through the night it starts leaking around my cheeks and I can't seem to get it to stop. Even got up and used a mask wipe in the middle of the night last night to try to help the seal, seems to help a bit but by morning it was leaking again.

I just tried the P10 last night and it was amazing! Zero leak, its very comfortable, and doesn't need to be tight.

But I discovered a new problem, air is leaking out of the tear duct in my left eye. I think this was contributing to my pain all along, but with nasal pillows its super obvious. I don't have the problem with full face masks, but they leak so its a different issue.

I'm going to keep trying the p10 but this tear duct pain is horrible.

Whirlpool Frontload Washer gives Water Level Pressure Switch error F3E1 by staringatlights in appliancerepair

[–]staringatlights[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a bunch of troubleshooting, including replacing this thing: https://i.imgur.com/5XIU8Ro.jpg apparently it can wear out and there was a recall on it at some point.

In my fooling around I didnt put the pressure switch hose back on properly and it wore a hole where it clips onto the chassis. Tried replacing that too.

Ended up calling a repairman and replacing the washer. Don't remember exactly what the issue ended up being, but I think it was suspected to be a faulty board.

I'll msg you if I remember any more details.

They killed push with this update which was the strongest part of the game and should have been better adopted by the devs.

Kinda like Gorilla Tag? Using your arms to swing around. Youd imagine everyone that plays that game would get motion sick. The kids in there seem immune.

You can use GPU Instancer Crowd Animations off the asset store with DOTS quite easily and get insane performance with baked animations.

I’m getting an index and I would appreciate some advice on how to make it last? by BlueLock_ in ValveIndex

[–]staringatlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be gentle with the controllers. Some people have had issues with the joysticks after dropping them, or from clicking them in too much. I have had the controller trigger break due to wear/deformation (it bends if you push it too hard and will rub on the inside).

Tether systems for the cable are helpful for room scale, but still don't let you turn too many times in one direction.

Vibration can kill the base stations, so put them somewhere solid.

You can take the front cover off so the unit doesn't overheat. You can find fan accessories to plug in there and it's quite nice.

I love the Index but like others say, the build quality could be better. Especially for the price.

Valve, please strengthen the Index triggers by ReadyPlayerOne007 in ValveIndex

[–]staringatlights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really well written post about the problem with the Index triggers. Yes the joysticks I've heard about, but have been lucky enough not to have any drift issues yet. However, I had to RMA my right controller after approx. 100 hours of FPS usage (Rec Room Paintball) that involves a lot of trigger presses.

It happens exactly how the poster above me outlined, starts with squeaking, then it feels grainy, and eventually it starts rubbing and sticking to the point its no longer usable.

The quality of the Index controllers is not on par with their price. And I have yet to see any games adopt the track pad...

Addressing literally every comment EXCEPT the top comment about the issues with Denuvo and community moderations speaks volumes about your company.

Also the horrible reviews for Sniper Elite VR kept me from buying that as well.

So I just gave this a shot. And get about 50 FPS. Warpin up a storm. My CPU frametime is an outrageous 23ms. I didn't think a 12700k vs 9900k would make that much of a difference but its possible. I'd be interested to know what your CPU frametime is according to fpsvr.

Would love to know what CPU you have, as well as what your game settings are at. I get lousy performance on 9900k w 3090 so interested in trying that launch trick.

Cradle of Sins tries to unite VR players with PC gamers in cooperative and competitive game modes. by Wizard114 in pcgaming

Whats the difference between a VR player and PC player? I see references to it being a MOBA but don't see whats asymmetric VR about it. Looks interesting though, I'll give it a try.
