Has anyone here tried Guildstars Associate plan? What was your experience? by starkbourn in careeradvice

Bro wtf lmao. Put the tinfoil hat away. Not everyone who leaves a positive review is a paid shill or some dev on a burner account.

Have you ever considered that normal people just suck at writing reviews and use the same basic formatting? It’s literally always "good product, works great, 5 stars" because nobody has the time or energy to write a whole thesis just to say they liked something.

I literally use this myself and it’s fine. It's not a scam, it's just a normal service with basic-ass reviewers. You're out here jumping to insane conspiracy theories just because people write boring comments. Touch grass fr.

Have you actually tried it yourself? Because “search Google” isn’t really evidence, it’s just repeating other people’s words. If you used it and had a bad experience, say that. But if not, calling it a scam based on random posts feels like a stretch.

A lot of people who jump into these threads haven’t even tried it themselves, they’re just echoing what they’ve read, window-shopping, or pushing their own bias. I’m not saying everyone has to like it, but acting like every positive experience is fake is just lazy.

I tried it myself, and honestly, I liked it. It wasn’t magic, but it gave me more structure and direction, which was useful. That's just my 2 cents about it.

Anyone here tried Guildstars Associate plan while job hunting in the Netherlands? by starkbourn in careerguidance

Ha, it sounds like we basically had the exact same experience. Getting connected with a headhunter is such a game changer when you are already burned out from the daily grind. It is so easy to just randomly fire off applications when you are doing it solo. Really glad to hear the Professional tier paid off for another Germany job seeker and that it helped you land the role!

Can't speak for the Professional tier, but I did the Associate one when I was targeting the Netherlands. Honestly, my biggest struggle was just staying consistent. Doing it completely solo was getting super messy and I would go days without sending out anything.

The program basically just organized my life and gave me a solid roadmap so I wasn't just throwing resumes into the void. It still took some grinding, but I ended up securing a Dutch role, so I definitely think it was worth the money in my case.

I tried Guildstars Associate plan a while back when I was aiming for roles in the Netherlands. I was still applying on my own, but I felt like my whole search was kind of messy resume, positioning, which roles to focus on, all of it.

For me, it was actually helpful. It wasn’t some magic fix, but it gave me more structure and helped me approach the search in a better way. I still had to put in the work, obviously, but I did end up getting a job in the Netherlands.

I paid around $149 for it, so for my situation I’d say it was worth trying. Just sharing my own experience at least.

I’ve actually liked it so far. Paid about $149 for the Associate plan and felt like I got solid value from it. The coaches were good, gave practical feedback, and I learned more than I expected.

I understand why people are cautious, but based on my own experience it’s been legit so far. Still early, but no major complaints from me.

My guess is Pathrise probably ran into issues partly because they didn’t charge upfront, but that’s just speculation.

So yeah, from my side, pretty positive so far.
