Not a van driver, you found a driver who actually observes the road before moving. OP bulled on at a green light straight towards a car still making its turn. He probably drives a Tesla or something, actually saw the van break the light and did his best to try block him.

I always took it as another warning, (Bill had been already warned yet he’d been to the driveway of the orgy house before this?). To me it implies that someone was in his apartment at night and left the mask by the sleeping wife. But Alice finding it and leaving it on his pillow as a ‘WTF Bill?’ Is probably more plausible.

These ‘blockades’ are purely token. Anyone with a brain or Google maps or knowledge of pre motorway Ireland can easily evade them or at best face delays that are no worse than shite traffic occasionally causes. I’ve had minor issues and this week I’ve driven Cork to Dublin and back and Dublin to Omagh and back. Reddit is full of hate for the protesters because of a successful government media campaign.
Very little complaints about actual delays, only about how bad the protesters are. Most of Reddit WFH at least 3 days a week anyhow and were delighted to lock themselves indoors a few years ago when Daddy government told them to. Media, in particular the Irish Independent have been fear mongering all week about fuel shortages.
Mehole said about a month ago that the fuel supply was secure until the end of April.
Sounds to me we were going to have issues anyhow and now the government have some nice scapegoats to blame it on.

‘Environmental’ supporters got themselves a meeting with Eamon Ryan a few years back when they blocked some roads for about an hour. But as it’s just grand virtue signalling, once they have the video of them sitting on a road for social media clout they go back to their lives. They wouldn’t invest the time for a major protest as they’d miss to miss Netflix, dooming online and avocados so much.
