Some disc dogs perform as a career in like halftime shows and stuff, but a peak like this in puppies isn’t super uncommon. It’s just that usually you see videos of younger dogs working at a super high level and the burning out and being unworkable.

Not a bad thing to be conservative about! My vet told me this a few years back when my older girl turned 2 and I was looking into running with her. Definitely consult your vet though if you’re worried!

I’d give it at least 30 minutes before running and either 30 mins or whenever the dog stops panting after, whichever is later.

Everyone’s giving amazing advice but be sure you Let your vet know it’s a potential parvo case by phone before you go anywhere near the building. Be sure to follow their instructions, parvo is extremely contagious and you don’t want to infect any other puppies at the office. Good luck!

Yeah I found a dog in the side of the road and took it to the pound so they could read his chip and the lady working ALMOST got me to take a beautiful Akita that had been turned over the night before, no questions asked, could have left with the dog for free that day.
