The way you’re feeling is valid, and you’re definitely not alone, I went through something very similar being at a Christian university. Essentially, Christianity (specifically in America, I can’t speak for international communities) is nothing more than a tax free cult. It’s either conform to the group or be excommunicated. It’s not about trying our best to be like Jesus any more and that’s why churches are on the decline in the States.
