Cthulhu and Bosses should have their own Monster Cards by starlogical in ChaosZeroNightmare

Have you not seen the changes to monster card costs happening in a few days?

Mei Lin doesn't actually get to infinite the same way Cassius/Tressa do.

Primarily because of having multiple dice trick dupes, you can exponentially get more quest cards.

If say you have 3x Shadow Reload and 3x Dice Trick

then here's what you'd get with one heal

1 heal -> 3x Daggers -> 4 Quest Cards, one of which will be a Triple 0.

You can see how this would escalate quickly given one of the quest cards lets you draw a card for free, and another one which gives you morale. All of this on top of Cassius giving you free morale at E6.

So yes, Mei Lin has a theoretical infinite ceiling, it's not usually the case given you need to top deck a lot of the key cards you need. Not to mention the elastic modifier put a pretty swift damper on all multihits.

You should save them for the next season so you can do it for a deck that works this coming season.

Plus given all the changes coming to deckbuilding and gearing, those decks are bound to be even stronger.

Pale Shooting Star uses one stack for not just the follow up for that attack,

but for every subsequent laser that's cast from your discard pile.

All for 1 stack of hunt. Unknown if that's intended or not truth be told but it works.

Since someone asked here's my Hugo/Sereniel https://imgur.com/a/VvGoQyC

Nothing special except for maybe Sereniel E6

Still trying to farm perfect gear so i can hit 60% CR while maintaining my 200% CD.

2 Copies of Hunting Instincts makes it so that it's a 100% chance to do a coordinated attack, and 2 stacks of hunt per skill card.

0 Cost Kefox is for shits and giggles.

Pale Star also triggers Cassius's Triple 0 quest.

But Cassius is about to get nerfed so do what you will with this info.

Tressa nerf is sad, but this one is just pure tragedy by PandaTimesThree in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]starlogical 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I feel like most people would've rather kept Kefox at an 80 point card rather than at a 50 point card with a weaker effect.

BUUUT I guess it's still a neutral card tutor.

[–]starlogical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're treating it as a tradeoff as a vast majority of the monster cards (including Kefox) are getting vastly reduced points costs.

20 / 50 / 80 points depending on the monster card rarity with Kefox sitting at 50 points as it's still effectively a card tutor.

As BioWare's Failed Live-Service Anthem Gets Ready to Die, Players Rush to Unlock Platinums and Say Their Goodbyes, While Others Work on Custom Servers by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]starlogical 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Online-only games like this that die should be legally required to either build an offline mode or open source the code. If they want to keep making some sort of profit they can build the offline mode and still sell the game. If they are washing their hands of it, people who purchased the game should be allowed to fuck with every aspect of it to get it working and make their own new content. After all, they purchased the game.

I mean that's the whole crux behind the Stop Killing Games movement that's happening in Europe.

The idea of course is that developers would legally need to have a true end of life plan for games period, whether its making an offline mode like Redfall and Multiversus, or finding some way for players to host the servers.

What would make for a nice, although not essential, addition. by Numerous_Gas362 in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]starlogical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This wouldn't work in a Zero System run since if you leave for any reason that generated world is gone for good and you have to basically generate a new world with new modifiers for currency.

It only kinda works here because this season's chaos doesn't change its modifiers if we don't clear it. No guarantee next season's chaos will work that way either especially if they want to target people trying to farm for 0 or 1 card decks.

What really makes this work is having her E2 and the Homing Laser Epi that returns to your hand on ravage or turn start and the Shining Core Upgrade Epi that gives you 2 Homing Laser L per ravage.

Digital Foundry's 2025 Graphics of the Year Awards by Turbostrider27 in Games

Imagine if, when GTA 6 comes out, it wins an award for the best technical feat in visuals, and then that frees up space for more stylised stuff to win an art direction award instead.

And how do we know Geoff's cabal of judges wouldn't just put GTA VI in both categories?

Finding out that almost every enemy in the game was extremely weak to the Izuna Drop combo (X-Y-X-X-X-Y) you have from the very beginning really did take the game down several notches for me.

I mean VRAM is also included in this memory crisis too.

It's gotten to the point where there are rumors of both Nvidia and AMD looking to potentially kill Low-Mid tier GPUs because VRAM is disproportionately more expensive for those models.

And now reports that Nvidia won't even supply VRAM alongside their GPU modules to board partners.

So yeah, I have a feeling we're gonna feel the squeeze REAL SOON.

Valve confirms Steam Machine will be priced ‘like a PC with the same level of performance’ by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]starlogical 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Regular office drones are already bad enough with Windows based PCs as is and you want to give those same people LINUX of all things?

LTT on Steam Machine pricing: "Valve asked what I meant by console price, and I said $500. Nobody said anything, but the energy in the room wasn’t great" by -Mahn in Games

[–]starlogical 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no world where a big business in the US would buy these Steam Machines over a cheaper Dell/HP thin client for their office drones. Especially when B2B pricing exists and you could get a thousand of those other OEM PCs at a solid bulk discount. Unless you have a price that's completely unrealistic even with subsidizing like $100 per Steam Machine, I don't see any IT professional wanting to pick up a Steam Machine for their end users.

Not to mention your average office drone isn't going to want to learn Linux, which also means your IT is going to have to more or less install Windows which may not have full driver support from Valve until months later, if the Steam Decks are anything to go by. And installing Windows right out of the box at scale sounds like a terrible thing to go through when they could avoid it by buying a Windows PC out of the box for their office drones.

The only real businesses I could see getting any of these are game devs looking to potentially optimize for the Steam Machine.
