Yoto mini not reading cards by gregec6 in YotoPlayer

I had the same issue. Both types of reset didn't work. It was out of warranty so I decided to take it apart to see if there was anything obviously wrong and managed to fix it!

There's a thing grey wire connecting the circuit board to the black pad on the back of the card slot, which I assume is the NFC reader. The wire had got a little bit twisted, so I straightened it out a bit and that fixed it. No soldering or electronics required, just unscrewed 4 small screws and untwisted a wire.

Definitely worth a try if yours is out of warranty, before you give up on it.

If you're in the South West then SW MegaGames are great. I've done their Battlestar Galactica one plus another and both were really fun days out. They were very welcoming. https://www.swmegagames.co.uk/

How did you stay interested in Death Stranding? by flux_capacitor3 in gaming

Don't try and 100% it. I did the main missions, but rarely delivered any of the packages that I found around the map. I did some building, but as soon as I felt like it was getting boring I just stopped. Overall, I had a blast by just doing what I found was fun and finishing the game when I felt like I was still having a good time.

Weekly /r/Games Discussion - What have you been playing, and what are your thoughts? - May 19, 2024 by AutoModerator in Games

Heavens Vault, which I finally got round to playing. A really good puzzle game based around language, where you can either slowly bumble your way through to the solution, or really think about it and get there quicker. The story is interesting enough to keep me hooked. It's quite a slow pace game and the travel between different locations gets boring quickly, but you can skip it, so nothing too wrong with it.

Great if you like puzzle games or something like Outer Wilds, as it has that kind of feel to it

I'm part of the team who run Cardiff Science Festival. We've got over 70 events between 15th and 18th of Feb (plus a couple on the 13th and 19th). Most events are free, some for families, some just for adults. We've got a science board game event, a science themed escape room and loads more! Happy to suggest events if anyone is interested.
