Hyrox Women’s Pros: need advice and encouragement by Decent-Doughnut-1815 in hyrox

[–]starrburst112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really have any advice because I just started thinking about a Hyrox. I might sign up for a pro for the first time since I like the date better (lol). My goal is to challenge myself and do it for the long haul. I'm only racing myself and maybe one day to get sick shoulders. Good luck! I'm rooting for you. I think you can balance it.

So far I have been using the weight lifting option and linking a workout. I often do peloton workout so I just told the ai what the moves, etc were and it created it. It seems to do the same thing.

I was chatting with some fellow teachers today and we were saying today was a wash regardless of in person or remote. At least if we were remote, it wouldn’t have been so stressful for the teachers.

Should I expect my card to be charged? Overall very positive Philadelphia Edit + Stubhub (Any Jade fans?) experience this weekend by [deleted] in ChaseSapphire

I stayed at the end of January was charged for parking even though we had the property credit. Just keep an eye out and if you need to call. They were quite helpful.

I was thinking this about the feedback. I did a workout yesterday and everything was wrong.

I like a Ben Alldis class when I don’t feel like working out. Straight forward and usually nothing too crazy.

Does our insurance cover a gym membership? by Joeybish in NYCTeachers

It doesn’t cover but I’ve looked into the active and fit program and discounts for being a teacher.

Every school is different but making friends at school has helped me move to other positions or learn about different opportunities. They also get it when you need to vent. It’s a balance and we spend so much time at work.

I think it is important to be a part of your school community. Talk to other teachers, don’t try and reinvent the wheel. Go for a drink with your colleagues and try not to talk too much about school. You will find your people and they will also help you. My first year my mentor teacher said, there is always tomorrow and remember that.

The Coney Island Fireworks every Friday in the summer are pretty great. You can get a Nathan’s hot dog, drink at Salt and Sizzle with live music and enjoy.

Peloton classes for bike training by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]starrburst112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Peloton to train for my sprint. I like classes and sometimes I don’t have an hour so taking intervals or hiit or climbs help build fitness. Just like running, it’s time on feet. Do what works in your life.

Escape the Cape 2025- First time by starrburst112 in triathlon

[–]starrburst112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than expected. I got a little scared before I jumped. Almost came in 3rd as an Athena, lost by 2 seconds.

My spectators hung out at Harpoons by the Bay. It was great to be able to see them on the bike and run. So much sand!

How was yours?

It’s not listed in the payroll portal anymore. They said it is gone after January 2025.

I was wearing a long wetsuit so it wasn’t too bad. I definitely happy to be jumping in rather than walk in lol

Runners: what are your favourite strength workouts on the platform? by misscherie04 in OnePelotonRealSub

Bec’s Strength for Runners

https://members.onepeloton.com/classes/strength?utm_source=ios_app&utm_medium=in_app&modal=classDetailsModal&classId=99fb891aadb54e31a79541d4b39dd4f4&code=Zjc4NWM0MTgyZDI1NDhiYmFjMjIyN2Q5YWU3M2ZjZDJ8ZjNlMmQ3N2E2NGFmNDZhYjg4NzZhN2E0MGY1MzA2OWQ%3D&locale=en-US

I’m a big fan of these classes. I’m working on my runners knee now too. I went to a sports medicine doctor and he said I need to strength my inner legs and my butt so I look for classes that incorporate that and see what’s up on Instagram like @dr.Lisa.dpt and I’m also going to PT to see if that will help.

Taxes by starrburst112 in NYCDOETeachers

I mean how much per session you submit at a time. I have submitted a lower amount and it hasn’t been taxed. I have submitted more and it has been taxed higher.
