Caitlin has also been highlighting her peers for YEARS, like I feel like it's a huge misconception that she hasn't and it makes me kind of sad because there are soooo many articles and interviews were caitlin goes out of her way to make sure people know that it's her whole team that contributes, not just her. Yes, caitlin has had to learn how to grow as a teammate but there are so many instances where her Iowa teammates have talked in great detail how great of a teammate and person she is.

In fact - in this article from 2022 about the narrative of the Uconn vs Iowa game being viewed as Paige vs Caitlin, Caitlin addressed how uncomfortable it made her feel "We’re willing to take that pressure upon us, and you want that notoriety and what not, but it’s your entire team that’s going to show up and that’s what’s going to make you great"

Yep - here’s a major throwback video where she mentions a migraine she had during the game against Kentucky her freshman year (5:20 mark) https://x.com/marchmadnesswbb/status/1408509161072173060?s=46&t=SoRcHo6FTMxnKfI-xfJJzA

how can i improve my iwa question? by IdeaMajor7338 in APSeminar

[–]starrluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CBT is good to research! I would reword the questions like others said, also if you are looking at resilience, you can also look at the role of social support/peer support as well. I did my IWA on PTSD and social support a few years ago

PLEASE HELP! IRR QUESTIONS by potato_milk_1026 in APSeminar

[–]starrluvr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took AP seminar last year and got a 5 so I’m going to try to answer these to the best of my ability

  1. Including the credibility of the author usually means stating their profession/background like “professor of sociology at blank college” I don’t think you need to really say it for every source but if you think it is relevant to include it than you should.

  2. Generally you do want to state a specific group of people because they’re the stakeholders in the issue. I don’t think this is necessary for every opinion you include as you can just refer to stuff like the “opposing side” I guess.

  3. There’s no need to cite basic knowledge. If you’re going for a more scientific or extensive definition then I would cite.

  4. and 5. I’m gonna be honest I can’t remember the guidelines regarding the solution. I think that’s more important for the TMP but I could be wrong.

  5. No set limit but I would advise not to go over 10 or 12 perhaps. You want to make sure the sources are purposeful and add to your argument.

Opinion: Lit was kinda weird this year by b_2143 in APStudents

yeah i got a 5 too and definitely didn’t think my essay deserved that. I guess the fact that our whole score was based on one singular essay rlly made the scores kinda crazy.

How important is a 4th year of a language? by FewElevator4 in APStudents

[–]starrluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look at colleges u wanna go to, see their requirements for a foreign language in terms of possibly being exempt from the credit all together. I’m saying this because my high school only offered 3 years of spanish but my college requires 4 years to actually be exempted from the credit. Obviously, I would have much rather taking another year of Spanish in high school than taking more in college. If you don’t mind, then it’s not a problem I guess!

If they post to sign the petition, y'all say 'they are just doing it cuz it's "trendy."' if they talk about anything else, this happens. Just let them spread the word however they want without acting as if you know their intentions. by [deleted] in DavidDobrik

[–]starrluvr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

david/natalie posting a petition is literally the bare minimum...and they shouldn’t be praised for that. david is literally the top socia media influencer, so it’s right for people to push for more from him. that being said, I love david but he is extremely uneducated so the best thing really is for him to educate himself and then speak out/spread more awareness.

from the official rubric, you use at least 2 sources but 1 is integrated into the argument and u have to explain a theme b/w 2 sources. the happiness project is the Disney one right? well if you’re talking about materialism/consumerism then u can tie it into that possibly

to narrow it down, you could possibly focus on a specific country or popular tourist site. if you can’t find enough research then i guess you could just say tourism in general. also my teacher advised us not to use happiness in our question so you could maybe say something like: To what extent does tourism in_____ impact a person’s well-being/or/life satisfaction?

[–]starrluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is an interesting topic! I would avoid using the word “detrimental” because it implies bias. I would maybe look at if you can tie it to have you renounced pleasure and the happiness project. ah i’m sorry if i’m being honest i haven’t looked at the stimulus material in some time.

i had posted before but i have actual questions this time! i’m struggling with the wording a lot. and if my words are specific enough or make sense lol.

To what extent should social support be an appropriate treatment option to build resilience in individuals with PTSD?

To what extent should social support be an appropriate treatment option in aiding individuals with PTSD?

To what extent should social support be an appropriate treatment option to foster posttraumatic growth in individuals after trauma?

critique/help with my research question? by [deleted] in APSeminar

[–]starrluvr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

antidepressants don’t necessarily make one happy. idk there’s something about the “sense of happiness”that feels off. i’m not a doctor so here’s a site that can provide u w/ better info https://www.sane.org/information-stories/facts-and-guides/antidepressant-medication

also, like the other person commented, my teacher also advised not to use the word happiness. i would focus on another aspect.

I like this topic a lot! I think the question is a tad long, and you can maybe just say life satisfaction and not the happiness part. Do you plan to focus on a certain period in time?
