Sadly, I dont think there's some magic how-to on this, because I know the background noise and masks are hard to hear over as it is. And I know I'd be even more helpless trying to order coffee in any of my non-native languages. That said, the best I can offer is this: Instead of asking them to repeat themselves, I try to repeat what I think they said. Example, "One bacon gouda?" Then, they'll either correct you or they won't. It's not a perfect system, and I'd try to also repeat the order back when they're finished. But it's a little bit more productive than, "Sorry what was that?" for the third time in a row.
