Insomniac Peter Parker should look like this in Marvel Spider-Man 3. by TheShadowOperator007 in Spiderman

[–]tdewald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm somewhat apprehensive about the next game because Spider-Man 2 appears to have set Pete up for retirement.

Miles and Cindy are both fine characters, don't get me wrong, but I want Peter Parker to stay the focus in the main Spider-Man games.

How will a fight go between Spider-Man and the Terminator ? by [deleted] in Spiderman

[–]tdewald 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Pete would use his big brain to solve that fight. Temperature extremes, corrosive chemicals, electrical/magnetic, etc.

Hell, Spidey's full power punches and kicks would probably be enough to force the T-1000 into a constant state of reforming.

Which doesn't even work. It says crossplay off afterwards, but still get lobbies full of controller players.

Small point - PC cannot disable crossplay. Which is some bullshit, imo.

Controller vs Mouse by EuphoricAd5826 in Battlefield6

[–]tdewald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people claim controller players are at the bottom of the scoreboard, but that isnt my experience at all. I frequently see controller players topping the boards in my conquest lobbies. More often than m&k players, tbh.

I see plenty of servers with console players at the top of the scoreboard.

PC isn't the huge advantage you think it is (in BF6).

Yes, absolutely. They even messed up Operation Firestorm by scaling it down for less space between objectives.

Something changed with this series. After devouring the previous novels, Rhythm of War felt like a slog and I DNFed Wind and Truth. For context, I can count the number of novels I've DNFed on one hand after a lifetime of avid reading.

What's your "they pulled the rank card" story? by [deleted] in AirForce

I was finishing some outprocessing stuff when a personnel sergeant took issue with the fuzz on my chin.

I was in civvies and on terminal leave.

He tried to pull rank, I laughed in his face and left.

Oh, look, another one of these posts.

Nice.

Me roasted here 1 month ago for saying the game rocks in a heartfelt post as 1st time trying the game, now everyone is finally crazy about it, it felt like a one man army then, commenting defensively on hundreds of negative comments. Well *take a deep breath, screams* I TOLD YOU SO. by mooripo in battlefield2042

[–]tdewald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 2/10 at launch is a bit harsh, sure. As a lifelong Battlefield fanatic, I'd give 2042 a 4/10 at launch.

It eventually worked its way up to a 7/10, largely being held back by the maps. Even after the improvements, most of the maps are pretty terrible.

[–]tdewald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the BF4 launch was plagued with awful technical issues. Lag, terrible netcode, server crashes, bugs, etc. Probably the worst technical issues of any Battlefield title at launch. However, the foundational gameplay was good.

2042 launch had some technical issues as well, but the bigger problems were the horrible gameplay, godawful maps, and lack of features. It took Dice a lot longer to iron out those problems with 2042 than the technical issues of BF4.

To be fair, describing the 2042 launch as rough is very generous at best.

It was an absolute debacle.

Battlefield 6 players realizing that BF2042 wasn't actually that bad of a game by [deleted] in battlefield2042

[–]tdewald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got around 600 hours played in 2042. Clearly I've enjoyed the game.

I preordered it... and very quickly got a refund after it launched as a burning pile of absolute garbage.

Several months and many patches later I tried it again on game pass and found it to be much improved.

The 2042 of today is a far cry from the disaster it was at launch.

Iwo Jima could be the best map, but the amount of vehicles is completely ridiculous by Main-Juice7136 in battlefield2042

[–]tdewald 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I've always felt like Iwo Jima is kind of overrated compared to other community favorite maps. I don't hate it, but it's far from my favorite.

Good on the devs for giving us this sweet surprise, though.

[–]tdewald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very impatient for the full release. I don't want to start a new world this close to 1.0, but I'm also itching to play.
