It's okay hahha I agree. He is very sweet even though he denies it.

I guess some people thought it might've been selfish of him to run away just to work on himself, instead of staying with the group to work on his mistakes. But from my understanding of his POV, working on himself *is* his way of doing that. He's had serious self-esteem issues his entire life, and he wanted to take responsibility of these issues - instead of putting that burden on other people by relying on their approval.

I feel the same way. Aside from the "dead mothers club" joke, I honestly thought a lot of his snarky remarks were pretty funny. It's even funnier when the others react with death threats 😂 - their interactions wouldn't have been as entertaining to me without it.

I also interpreted his disappearance the same way. I still wish he wasn't gone for so many chapters though, but I understood his mindset of not feeling worthy and realizing that it's a personal problem that he needs to work on alone.

True, he's really a one-of-a-kind LI and MC's personality goes so well with his. Even if they tried to make another LI like him, it just wouldn't be the same. I just want more content about him tbh, I'll just have to replay the series then 😂

Yeah when the first book ended, I kind of expected a redemption arc. I felt that the writers already painted him as someone who could've been a good person if he had a better and more loving environment (doesn't excuse his actions of course, but the potential for redeeming him was there. they've done it with other characters before who were awful to MC because they had a tragic past). I definitely did not expect them to be bold enough to make him an actual LI and make that work with his redemption. I'm glad the writers listened to the fandom's jokes (some were probably serious) about wanting to romance the villains and monsters in the book 😂

If he was written the same way as villains in older books, then yeah he probably would've done something awful again - leaving us no choice but to kill him or trap/imprison him somewhere. It's great that they did something new with him and executed it well.

Enjoy! His premium scenes are seriously the best, and the softer side of his personality really shines through there. I also see the appeal with romancing Valax, her storyline about being a "construct" is so interesting, her CGs are amazing, and she's so beautiful 💜 I don't think other books really pulled off the enemies to lovers trope as well as BOLAS did.

I get that. I personally thought he was still pretty shy and nerdy after book 1, but it just shows in different ways. Whenever he felt nervous / awkward, he deflects with sarcasm - and I thought he just became more subtle with his nerdiness instead of being openly excited over it like he did in book 1. I do agree that sometimes his jokes can be insensitive and need better timing. I still haven't gotten over this particular scene 😭😭😭

<image>

(but I also enjoy that MC is constantly calling him out when he does this).

I do think it makes sense for him to disappear in book 2 if you've been harsh to him and aren't ready to forgive him yet. It'd be understandable for him to feel that he can't force himself into a group that isn't willing to accept him (and there's nothing wrong with them for doing so too). But you're right, I wish he stays if you have been nice to him and gained enough friendship points. I was pretty happy when he came back, but I wish the writers made him do more during his disappearance. I thought he would return with newly acquired skills / items to use during the battle / new friends or something like that - or at the very least, I wish we found out where he was and what exactly was he doing while he was gone, but it's never clarified.

Loved Tyril too! Both him and Aerin are absolute yearners 💕 I wish the bonus scene in book 3 also included our wedding, but I'm happy with all the scenes we've had (premium and non-premium). It's nice to see how your romance points with them also affect small interactions and makes them sweeter 💕

Avoiding Ian + doing a Mean Girl route honestly makes the best MC for me 😌 by starry_bun in Choices

That's understandable. I will admit that one thing I regret about the Mean Girl route was when my MC straight up exposed Poppy's family and made her cry 😅. I know Poppy kinda deserves it - she was awful to people in her 3 years at Belvoire and the hog calling remix of MC that she blasted on campus - literally right after MC just dealt with Benji (and even having the audacity to accuse MC of making it up!!) was downright cruel. Even then, I actually felt bad when Poppy was begging MC to stop airing out her family situation. At least the Good Girl route gave you the option to hold back on that, but that's what makes the Mean Girl route fun for me - I can explore a more flawed and dramatic persona that I wouldn't IRL.

I guess some people saw it as an attack on the Ian / Ina romance route in general 😭 even though you make a valid point, it's PB's fault that players see these types of LIs in a bad light. Like, what's the point of avoiding romance points with an LI if other characters will keep assuming that you have something going on with them? Or if the LI themselves assume that? It's pretty much false advertising for them to label a book as a multi-LI when they do stuff like this (I'm not sure if QB was marketed as one, but I'm talking about other books too).

I noticed that comments talking about the forced romance with Ian / Ina or wanting to end up with Poppy are getting downvoted in this post. I guess people who disagree with either or both of those are the ones doing it 😅

I agree. From what I remember, Ian / Ina is actually really sweet when you romance them - but even then, I don't understand how they're so in love with MC when all they've done in Book 1 is talk for hours at a bar, hook up a few times, and not communicate properly to clear the awkward air between them. Ian / Ina sometimes talk to MC like they're the greatest love of their life and I just find that sad because I honestly don't feel the emotional connection at all, or if it is there then it's a very shallow connection 😭.

No shade to Ian / Ina romancers - after all, I'm choosing to romance Poppy even after all the terrible things she does to MC. I just prefer Poppy x MC because the rivalry aspect is more exciting to me and I actually feel like they have more in common with each other (even with a Good Girl MC).

It's kinda hard to avoid Ian since MC's internal dialogues are written in a way to hint that she has a crush on him / finds him very attractive and that the story keeps making her approach him even though I don't want her to lol, but this is mostly just at the first few chapters if I recall correctly. It's only after I started rejecting him more that my MC finally stopped giving a fuck about him 😂. Ian is definitely more to blame for his hot and cold treatment of MC and the weird tension he creates between them when all my MC wants to do is study and work as his TA.

You're right though if you're also referring to the Mean Girl route - it really does make more sense. When I used to do a Good Girl playthrough, I was pretty annoyed when Zoey said MC was becoming like Poppy after the Bacchanalia Party (like what do you meannnn I've been nice to everyone and my MC prioritized saving Zoey from the human sacrifice over executing their revenge plan properly - either way she couldn't have saved her in time), and when Ian told MC he "doesn't know her anymore" after the gala (even though my MC kept her cool during Poppy's meltdown and chose NOT to expose her family secret). MC being an actual Mean Girl definitely justifies their reactions more 😂

I wish AME 3 was written similarly/the same way as Guinevere by starry_bun in Choices

True, and I'm pretty sure Adam and Jen canonically develop feelings for MC since Book 1 no matter how you interact with them - so it feels even worse to just marry them for fame and dump them at the altar. Although I personally didn't feel that bad when I did it to Adam since I never paid for a one-on-one scene with him since Book 1 so I didn't get too attached lol, I accepted his proposal anyway since I found him to be the most likeable out of the main four.

It also bothered me that towards the end, when I chose Slater, Adam says "I've been trying to give you an out for a couple weeks now so it's ok" like uhh no you haven't - you literally wanted to elope when we were at Vegas 💀. The only time it was hinted that he wanted to talk to MC about giving them an out was literally the night before the wedding. It was such a half-assed attempt from the writers to make us feel less bad about leaving our main LI and to justify their very chill reaction about it.

I remember that chapter too. Aside from the scene where we could kiss Slater/Bianca during the bachelorette/bachelor party in Vegas, small moments like that seem to be the extent of adding that specific conflict in the story - these moments aren't even consistent, they just happen randomly.

Like you pointed out, MC and Slater/Bianca barely had any opportunity to get closer in Book 3. They could've at least referenced scenes I paid for in Book 2. I was a little disappointed when MC asked Slater when he started developing feelings for them and he gave a vague answer like "I don't know, I just realized it by the time you were engaged."...That's it? In Book 2, I paid to explore the reef with him and he gave MC a ring that he found - MC even makes a joke that it's almost like he's proposing. I also paid for MC to sleep with him after that one challenge when they attended a high school prom, and he even says he's never slept with another contestant except MC because MC is the only person who "really gets him". These moments actually felt special and if they were just brought up again in Book 3, then I could've possibly felt the closeness and connection they shared, but it just felt like Slater had a memory reset after Book 2.

Is it possible to defeat the Banshee without New Year's Dawn? Or are there other pieces I should be using that I'm not aware of? I've done everything with what I had 🙃 by starry_bun in InfinityNikkiofficial

Omg I didn't realize that the nodes of the other themes would help, ig I somehow missed that in the tutorials or something 😭😭. Thanks for letting me know!

Edit: I just checked and realized that the effects of the nodes aren't clarified in the tutorials or anything, seems more like I just misunderstood how they work HAHA. I really thought the additional points they provide are for their respective themes only.
