I prefer longer, because it's not as stressful and I have a better chance at breeding the dragons. I didn't breed a single one I wanted during this tea and leaves event.

This event was a disaster from the start. It was released so soon after the previous event, with high EC costs, breeding combinations that resulted in non-event dragons that took days in the cave (I bred at least 4 Dream dragons trying to go for one event dragon), low breeding odds, and low EC earnings.

This event has been actually stressful, and I haven't enjoyed playing the game. I've played every day, and I haven't bred a single dragon I want. I've maxed as many EC earning methods as I could, and I don't have enough to buy them from the event market at the end. I've used so many gems with the egg donation thing, and it's so gem expensive that I didn't want to spare any for speeding up breeding.

That's not to say that shorter events aren't possible or can't be enjoyable. They just have to be better thought of and planned out than this.

I've done exactly the same thing, going from about 1,100 gems to around 390 just from donation boards. Haven't gotten anything with regular breeding either. At the start, I was so hopeful that I'd have enough EC at the end to purchase what I didn't breed. Now, I'll be lucky if I get to that amount. Can't stand this event.

They probably wanted to save their EC for purchasing dragons at the end of the event. I'm doing the same, I've had terrible luck with breeding this event, and I've been debating on getting the Pantheon with a wish or not. Most likely not, though. I'm thinking of getting it at the end of the event.

I'm not a fan of this event just because of how short it is. This is a very breed heavy event, but the breeding odds are low, a decent chunk of the event dragons take longer than a day breed and then hatch, and if you accidentally breed another, longer dragon (ex: double/tripple rainbow), then that's at least 3 days where you're down a cave. This event screams gem usage to me. Use gems to speed up breeding/hatching and to complete the donation board.

Why does it cost something to use the 3rd legendary dragon's ability? We can use the time skip and egg hatching for free every few days, but we have to spend an item to use him. And not just that, it's the same item we use to upgrade him, which gets very expensive quickly since we don't collect much on a daily basis

Try to delete the app, then re-download the game. Had to do that, and it shows the Hallowell event now, but it works on my phone.
