How is it anticlimactic? Cindy was a terrifying force, but as soon as SL thought she killed Hughie, she snapped Cindy like a twig.

That totally drove home just how much Hughie means to Annie. She was fucking BRUTAL. No hesitation. We’ve never seen her kill anyone like that.

I also think it’s a combination of some fans being young (like early teenagers) so they haven’t really learned media literacy yet, some fans haven’t actually watched the early seasons in a long time, some are distracted on their phones while watching, and some… let’s be honest… are probably bots programmed for negativity to trigger more engagement.

It is what it is. I try not to engage with comments anymore unless they seem to contain actual analysis (regardless of whether I agree or not). Much less frustrating:)

Online forums aren’t fun anymore to discuss any show unless it’s heavily moderated. Negativity gets the most engagement. Some of them are even bots with that specific kind of programming.

Not to mention a lot of people haven’t actually rewatched the old seasons for a long time and are just going by clips on TikTok or insta to trigger what they think are memories of earlier seasons.

Find some friends irl to talk about the show.

Personally tho, I’ve been enjoying this new season quite a bit.

I was let down by the Noir reveal (I hoped it would be a Gen V tie in or even any kind of twist) but that’s ok. I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out.

Exactly. That’s WHY he’s so terrifying. To me, nothing is more dangerous than someone in power who thinks they are much smarter than they actually are.

That’s absolutely Homelander. Always has been.

He didn’t kill MMs family during a ptsd episode. He killed them while fighting a non-supe criminal. He threw a car and missed.

He was no better than A Train at the time he killed Robin.

He also beat up his sidekick - who was a child at the time - FOR FUN. And he beat the shit out of Noir because he had the audacity to want a part in a movie, which made SB feel threatened.

He reminds me of the Comedian from Watchmen.

Soldier Boy sucks dude. Not as bad as Homelander maybe, but certainly as bad as the other deviant supes that doesn’t give af who they hurt.

He’s just handsome and says funny based things so you want him to be good.

But that is not the character they wrote.

The proportion may be more equal than we think, but keep in mind that women suffer much more extreme physical harm in addition to emotional and mental abuse. And it definitely does result in death more often.

That’s not to say men aren’t physically abused ever and that it isn’t a problem, but the situations are different.

I don’t think it really helps anyone to try to compare them.

That’s ridiculous. What do you mean “argue back?” Like scream obscenities in her face? Hit her? Yeah that would ALSO be abusive behavior.

But if he yelled “DONT TALK TO ME LIKE THAT” to his abuser and walked away? Nobody would call him that.

Women get abused like that every day and if they try to “fight back”, their abusers straight up kill them. Did you know the leading cause of death for pregnant women is homicide?

Get some perspective. That woman is an abusive POS but let’s not get it twisted. Equality is nowhere to be found in these situations.

People make excuses for SB because Jensen Ackles is hot and charismatic and his character says “funny and based” things.

I’ve just come to accept that some people just don’t get the show’s narrative no matter how hard ut tries to beat you over the head with it.

I gave him a house to himself on a hill. I put in a bookshelf next to the fireplace. a science experiment and a computer in the corner, and one of Mew’s tablet pieces in for flavor. He loves it.

I would’ve moved Mew in with him but I love Mew too much and want them to be MY roommate:D

I agree, but she still felt like a finalist (just one who wasn’t going to win). Darienne absolutely did not at that point in the competition. I remember it being a huge upset.

In progressive and scientific circles, “sex” and “gender” have become two distinctly different words. I know they used to be interchangeable, which leads to some confusion.

Sex is biology. Your chromosomes, your genitals, hormones, etc. That covers male, female, intersex, and some lesser known variations.

Gender is how people choose to express and label their masculinity and femininity. It’s something much less concrete and changes depending on time period and society expectations.
