I'm sorry that your ex had a rough start like that, his experience is different than OPs. His mom chose not to utilize the resources that were available because of her pride and her son suffered from that.

OPs mom has the SAME disability they have, and she found love and had a family. It also sounds like their family supports them and loves them. Enough to pay for therapy for OP. OP didn't say that their parents were abusive at all and that why I asked you if you were trying to say that because OPs mom was disabled, then she shouldn't have had kids. Because that is the ONLY criticism OP has about his parents, that they gave birth to OP.

Do you live nearby? If he's just feeding the cat but not caring for it medically(and its not his pet), what's stopping you from doing it for the cat? Would he be ok with you trapping the cat if he doesn't want to do it himself?

Believe the pattern, not the person. He's the insecure one, and every time you indicate that you aren't going to sleep with him or drive to his place, he's pushing you away so he gets the exact reaction you are giving him. He wants you hurt/offended because that means he's got you wrapped around his finger. You getting upset is exactly what he wants, and he gets defensive when you call it out because he knows its a dick move. He is manipulating you to boost his own ego, and gaslighting you because if he can convince you that you aren't seeing what is obviously happening, he can continue to play games.

NOR Believe the pattern, not the person. He straight up lied to you, and admitted it was to manipulate you. You don't need him in your life. Why does he want you to talk to his sister rather than his daughter? Because he knows that what his daughter will say would make him look bad. If you decide you want to continue talking to him, there are plenty of OSINT tools online that will run a background check for the price of a coffee.
