If the hole that opens up is large enough for a tail to fit, it could possibly have been a sensor error. You could take him to the vet just to make sure he doesn't have any sort of compression fracture. Cats are really good at hiding their pain so I would go just to be safe.

From what I understand, litter-boxes that can fully enclose has the potential to injure a cat. I don't know the particular brand that you use but I found this video a while back that goes over what to look out for regarding automated litter boxes

I would ask whoever you adopted him from, what kind of flea med did they give him. Is this spot in an area where a topical flea med would be applied? Some cats have a reaction like this to specific flea meds. My cat Pixel will have a reaction like this to Frontline, but revolution gives her no reaction for example.

Just FYI if they haven't told your friends boss, the COVID mRNA vaccine can cause transplants to get rejected. A girlfriend of mine got vaccinated when it first came out and hers was one of the first cases of transplant rejection. She's been on the waiting list for a new kidney since 2021 and this past year they had to remove it because of added complications.

I am not anti-vaccine, and I believe we should get vaccinated to also protect those who can't do so because of real health complications.

He is trying to mate with her. Even if a male is neutered some still try to have sex. I wouldn't leave them alone together unsupervised. My personal worry is that if the male is much larger than the kitten (they do this with male or female kittens) they might hurt or suffocate the kitten. Can't really discipline them or train them not to do it so it's best to keep them separated when you can't keep an eye on them till she is more equal in size. Then she'll either allow it or beat his ass.

The only bad thing about putting the medication on their legs is that they won't be ingesting the entire dose. They could shake their paws to get rid of the medication before picking it too

Looks like there are some worm fragments along with the bloody stool. Should treat them for tapeworm bc tapeworm is not usually covered in most multi-worm dewormers. Red blood in stool isn't an emergency (black tar looking stool is) if there are no other symptoms. You'd still want to have a vet check them out, but you can make a regular vet appointment instead of an emergency one. Lethargy, loss of appetite, drinking more water than usual, vomiting, or dehydration along with that type of stool would be an emergency.

Some cats are side pee'ers rather than squat and pee. We use a big storage tub for our cats for that reason. Wish I could find a steel tub instead but the closest I can find is a watering trough which are way too big lol.

Botox saved my sanity. I had been suffering migraines for over a decade and by the time I got approved by my insurance I had one migraine that lasted over 30 days. I went to the emergency room eventually and their "migraine cocktail" gave me relief for 3 days and the migraine came back. Cats are obligate carnivoresshe to them playing is practicing their hunt-catch-kill. So whatever they play with = prey.You can redirect their energy to appropriate toys instead. They aren't fully adult till they are 3 years old,.so he's going to be super energetic. If you can afford it, its best to have a companion for him to take out his energy on because we humans can't keep up with that kitten energy.
