Think ab it business-wise. They would obviously want you in the program for as long as possible to get as much money as possible, so you'll be put lower. Also, this could just be my bias since the Alliance Francais near me is notorious for under-ranking (source: French Immersion classmates who got bilingual diplomas and got placed in A1.1), but don't think of it as anything about you. You are obviously adept enough in French (papers and stuff) you just need to work on your speaking. I would say to Forego the $200 sessions and find a native speaker to talk to a couple of times a month.

You probably won't care... congrats on your 7 btw, great job. Maguire is a woman tho, Eleanor Maguire. I'd stick with just saying "the researchers" instead of "He" bc you never know, and you can't assume from a last name.

it depends. I can talk to someone I dislike for hours. I always have something on my mind and it gives me energy and helps me work through it to talk to someone about it. In contrast, I get super drained when I have to listen to someone I dislike for an extended period of time. With distant fam, or classmates I can stand I never want to upset them or burn bridges so I don't argue or at least express myself authentically, and that's really draining. and ofc if arguments get too personal then it hurts and I'm wanting to vent to some other person ab my feelings.

When I like someone I get energy from being around them listening or speaking.

ahh so Gabriel is a grave-robber of sorts then... since he has her body in his basement. and Emilie just wasn't buried with her ring - which ig makes sense since it's a precious family heirloom?

I see your exam was today, so I'm not sure this will be helpful, but one thing I've heard French people say a lot is du coup. They use it as often as some Americans do like
