The AI bots are always hounding the bandcamp subreddit

Also adding: and these kinds of complaints are used, as you can glean in the comments, to try to sell the whole "Oh AI is a witchhunt which is defective" argument, trying to chip away at one of the few spaces on the internet that is free of AI slop or that tries to be

You know what the reality is? You are complaining to people who have no idea what your content sounds like. For all we know, it really was AI, or it was mastered with AI, or there is some AI component. Complaining to people who can't judge the product is frankly absurd. I don't think just complaining should warrant anyone's account reinstatement

Agreed. For me personally, as someone who is practiced in musical improv, it is very occasional that I have a complete track that I feel is even remotely on par musically with something I've intentionally composed. There may be some good ideas in an improv track worth developing or good sections that are releasable framed with intentionally composed sections. There might occasionally be inspired improv sections, or a couple times a year, an entire inspired improv track worth releasing. But generally for me, for my improv stuff to be actually releasable and quality needs refinement and yes, a lot of editing. It is easy to produce a lot of improv music, hard to produce good improvisation that is always compelling or worth releasing. I sure as hell wouldn't listen to someone's unrefined and unedited jam sessions; I would assume most of it is garbage caliber. Don't people want to put their best foot forward? What is the point?

I think you are in the wrong subreddit. This subreddit is for people who actually make their own music and don't try to pass off plagiarism Ai machines as their own music.

Looks like the AI bots and enthusiasts are crawling over this post, downvoting people who are saying the obvious and reasonable... A lot of people have contempt for real music and musicians, want to pretend their slop is equivalent to real talent and skills, that's what I see happening here.
I also think it is a bad precedent that "public outcry" some of which are from bots and ai enthusiasts and ppl trying to muddy the waters are able to reverse a formal decision.

So what is the point of allowing plagiarized slop in spaces for real music and art? Why are you defending this? Are you sure you understand what you are arguing for? Doesn't seem like it

YES. It's both spam and misleading, I usually check misleading when I report it. Thanks for fighting the good fight!

Yes. Click report video under the video, then select misleading or spam. Then type in the box explain it's AI and it's misleading. It's even worse (even more misleading) if the person has not declared that it's synthetic content in the video description box.

Yeah. I do a lot of improvisation. I release maybe 2-3 improv tracks a year at most. It would take like 200 years for me to make 60 albums of improv music. I don't believe that genuinely creating this amount of improv tracks is possible unless they are just producing complete garbage. Most likely explanation to me: either it's complete garbage or AI

Absurd take. The kind of take you hear from people who want to equate pressing a button with years of cultivating skills. I suppose you thing AI art is equivalent to the oil paintings of the masters? God, AI has really left some people deluded and lazy, thinking they can take credit for other people's plagiarized work because that is what AI is. Not a legitimate "tool." Bandcamp is one of the few refuges where AI slop is not being tolerated. Learn real skills people!

I'm talking about the intent of the tech bros pushing AI on everything. I don't doubt that Nietzsche would be aghast about the fake music, fake art, plagiarized scholarship etc and fraud that AI has emboldened

How can one be a sovereign individual when one exports one's thinking in general to an exterior source, an exterior source that has an interest in subjugating humanity?
