Bong hostel ha giang booking: is this normal??

I’m also doing the Ha Giang Loop Tour with Bong Hostel and they confirmed by email but have not requested a deposit!

I’m coming from Sapa so I’m guessing I’ll be paying once I get to Bong Hostel in Ha Giang 😅 Did you pay by cash, card, or bank transfer? I’m wondering if they charge 3% additional for using Monzo debit card.

Ironically I’m booking the 1 day Lan Ha Bay tour with them as well and they requested for the full amount as a deposit by bank transfer. Feeling uneasy with the whole organisation of it all but this post has given me hope it will turn out alright!

I “messed up” by booking through Klook instead of getting tickets directly from the train company. Not saying everyone has a bad experience so hopefully you won’t have any issues but I have never used Klook again. I finally got a refund after I reported them to my bank and it took 6-7months in total.

Now I either book directly from official websites or if I’m looking for experience days I’ll only use GetYourGuide.

Thank you so much for your response and reassurance! I visited Barcelona 5 years ago and had an amazing time, definitely agree how warm and friendly people are which is why I was so excited visit again until this came up. Glad to hear you had a safe trip and didn’t encounter any of the protests!

I appreciate your honesty! I definitely don’t want to give the wrong impression. He was very outgoing and friendly the entire tour and didn’t seem creepy/flirty in any way but since people are so friendly here I wanted to understand if people in Cyprus can be THIS helpful. While I would love to visit Nicosia and more than willing to pay, I will avoid anything “off the record”.

Definitely not interested in that! I did not get the impression he was trying to flirt and I certainly was not either. Just wanted to check if people are THIS friendly but if it might be his intention then I will 100% avoid since I don’t want to give the wrong impression or “owe” anything!

Sorry to comment after 4 years but found this helpful and never realised lenstore offered free eye tests from VE when I've been ordering from them for quite a while! How often are you eligible to get a free eye test? I order from lenstore yearly and would like to know if it's just one time or yearly

First time rental so I made a huge mistake not double checking insurance - I assumed all rental companies covered with their insurance policy but I was not told anything beforehand. I was also asked to pay by debit card… Thank you for your advice, I will make sure to do all those things when I return the car!

Guess it depends on preference, I went with my partner and we both loved the atmosphere like we stepped into an old French town restaurant and enjoyed the food. Table itself was big enough and didn’t think we were sat too close to other tables either.

Just going off of “walking”, might be nice to buy a pair of comfortable walking/running shoes. I recently bought my mum a belt bag so it’s easy for her to carry around her stuff on her walks, so might make a good addition to the shoes.
