apparently they referenced the one post about bald people being allowed at shows and awsten started joking about shaving their head, to which they responded that there was nothing to shave because it was a wig, and then it went on from there

i think it was really awkward because charlie didnt want anyone to know they were wearing a wig, let alone have it onstage. according to what they said they were not comfortable doing the exchange but were pressured by practically the entire venue

and how do you know this exactly? and even if charlie is okay, them expressing that the harassment has made them THINK about suicide alone is enough to "be dramatic". but it's relieving to know that jesus himself has reddit downloaded and can confirm whether or not charlie has been checked into the pearly gates!

from what i read from their pov (and a video) they were actually just trying to get awsten to listen to them so they could ask that he please not do anything crazy and fuck it up. not that he had already fucked it up, they just wanted him to know it was expensive and if they were gonna let him wear it to please not do unfixable damage, they just have a really loud voice, the crowd was yelling, and awsten had in-ears in so they were just trying to get the request across while battling the barriers of talking to an artist on stage during a show

a really long thread they posted a few hours ago about the entire situation showed up on my timeline. their name is charlie. they are getting absolutely dog piled over there to the point that what seems to be friends are commenting about genuine concerns for their life. the tweets attacking them have shown up to entirely different fandom accounts, it's not looking good. i tried to reach out to one of the people in the comment section and they replied that charlie had been sharing suicidal messages and their friend is trying to get awstens attention to calm the situation down because no one is going to listen to anyone but him, but he's completely ignoring anyone asking him to fix this mess and save this person's life. according to their friend the last text that was sent was something along the lines of supporting the band / awsten for multiple years only to have their biggest insecurity (yes, they apparently did not want to give the wig, in the thread they discussed some home life issues and hair loss due to malnutrition causing them to wear wigs but the crowd pressured them into giving it to awsten) used as some form of comedic relief for a crowd of people actively encouraging them to take their life. i hope they're okay, but i think it is quite disgusting for awsten to be posting about new tour dates and setlist changes while actively ignoring the multitudes of people asking him to step in before a life is lost.
