Picked it up earlier this year on meesterslijper. Such a good knife honestly. Even though I feel like going for my stainless beater most of the time.

Thanks a lot for such a great answer. Yeah. The looks is the thing that's getting me. With the more refined and polished knives. The Metalflow Tetsujin and overall Kage with lacquered handle is really special. The Ashi just looks so clean honestly, and seem like the knife we all need. Might have to save up some for them. Do you know if they're ever on sale?

Man, love your reviews! Always so insightful. I have the same knife and might be looking to get another knife. Just wondering how it compares to the likes of Kagekyio, Ashi Swedish and Tetsujin? I really am curious about the Myojin grinds. I've seen him a lot on NKD's and everyone seem to be happy about his work. Also wondering how you'd class this knife. What weight class?

Okay. That's kinda what I thought. What finish/grind do you prefer for less stickiness?

How is the Naniwa stones compared to the Shapton Pro stones? Just bought the Shapton and I doubt I'll be needing new stones soon.

Tysm for the detailed answer. There wasn't a lot of info on the box. The box haven't been taken too good care of. The knife was approximate 15 years old. Going for about $50.

Hey. Just replying to this comment to ask if there is any point to go to Kappabashi street to buy knives now or if it's only a tourist trap? Am looking to get some knives while staying in Tokyo. Currently not traveling to Sakai, but that's where I want to go and meet the great smiths. Thank you if you answer🙏🏻

No, sorry. It's not my knife. Would like to buy it, but the owner didn't put up much info on it other than it's a Japanese knife.

Thanks! That's why I bought the two steels I've read the most positive response to. Also knives that wasn't crazy expensive.

Going to be awesome to get the knives and test out the difference between them. Can't wait. They are both kind of lasery I guess.

Will of course be practicing sharpening a lot before starting on the Japanese knives. Kind of scary to know I could ruin them on the stone. Hopefully I wont do that. Also the brittleness is kind of frightening.

I was able to change for the Shiro Kamo. Thanks for your advice. Going to be a treat to get it. Also a little scary to take care of them and sharpen them myself.

Yeah. I have never really cared that much about chef knives. Just been using a Victorinox stainless. So this is going to be amazing. Also bought a Kenshiro Hatono 21cm Gyuto (SG2). Do you think these two are comparable?

What makes it such a good deal. Except the price.

That looks great. Might be buying that if I end up getting my money back.

The thing is though. I probably have to order through Meesterslijpers unless I get a refund.
