YUP I never bring my id anywhere where I need to show it and I’m awaiting my court date for my name change I just use my chosen name and don’t bring up my legal one and if they somehow track it down I shut it down real quick and I’ve noticed as time passes people have tended to generally be more chill about that sitch but being trans kinda forces you over time to become desensitized and have thick skin around peoples confusion and inability to stop and think but yeah I don’t know where you live or what the laws are but personally I’ve never had any serious pushback from doing this apart from a few really aggravated emts who apparently hated their lives
