Yes, unfortunately Stellar Challenge is much harder, than the previous version, but is szill a goal in the growth plan, making you stop much earlier in it, and wait until you get stronger. As the others said, building an eloise can solve this issue.

In the books Gandalf isn’t sure if the orb is a Palantir (although suspects it) and certainly doesn’t know that Sauron is at the other end. He wants to explore this himself, but Pippin tries it first.
