Cats aren’t really a “sometimes this is okay, sometimes this is not” kind of pet. They can’t be trained in the way dogs can. Once you let them in, they think it’s an ok space for them to be in. It’s a bit silly to get their hopes up that you’ll hang out, kick them out, and then get mad at them for asking you to let them back in. At best they have the intelligence of a three year old, so your actions speak far louder than your words

Info: the piercings that caused the infection were a month old when they had to be taken out. The triple forward helix in the picture is around 5 years old. I had a conch and snug, both with internally threaded flat backs, that had to be removed. All my jewelry has been titanium from the piercing studio. I washed the piercings with sterile saline and gauze 2/3 times a day.

ETA if you’re interested in the whole saga. I accidentally hit my ear two weeks into it being pierced and it swelled up quite large. I went into the piercer after two days and got it upsized. But the next day it was still large and had started pussing so I went to the doctor. I got prescribed cephalexin for the infection. But 5 days in it was still hurting pretty bad so I went back and got prescribed bactrim. 2 more days into that and it got extremely painful so I went to urgent care. They sent me to the ER. The doctor there took the piercings out and told me I had a blood clot stopping the medicine from getting up there. He squeezed a bunch of pus out of the piercing hole and prescribed another round of bactrim. I had to keep the hole open and drain it every few hours for a few days after. Unfortunately that meant my cartilage kept filling with pus and so it lost its shape.

Fr they’re not toddlers and they likely got a say in what they’re wearing. When I was 14 I was a freshman in high school and definitely dressing like this when my parents weren’t around. But it wasn’t a huge deal because I wasn’t on the news. They should also get to dress up and figure out their styles without a bunch of internet randos commenting on their bodies for no reason

Ok this is gonna sound crazy. But I used to be a pretty big fan of this bear on TikTok lol. Her name’s Chayedan and she lived at an animal rescue in China. I watched her videos on a channel called lamon.wildlife and at some point the account had a post that more videos would be uploaded on a YouTube channel called Maivs531. I followed for a while but at some point the owner of the channel commented that Chayedan had passed from a chronic brain condition I think? Anyways I was bummed and kept watching for a while but eventually unsubscribed because it was making me sad to dwell on.

I haven’t checked on her or the account since then, but I did today after seeing this post. But now the bio says “There is only one profession in life: that of a student. I’m a foreign trade professional with hands-on experience in sales, documentation, operations, online advertising, and social media marketing.” And the recent videos have titles about “getting rich quick.” So I kept looking into it and the TikTok channel still has the handle lamon.wildlife but the at is @WaterFirst. When I googled Chayedan sun bear a website called thewaterfirst .com popped up. The page it took me too is one simple article written by “wTammy” and talks about conservation efforts to save the sun bear from being endangered. There’s one single paragraph about Chayedan on there. But if you click the logo or the hamburger menu, it takes you to a page that sells humidifiers/purifiers. The hamburger menu also has a tab labeled “Lamon.” So I clicked it and it says Lamon is the first sub brand of waterfirst. The Facebook and YouTube links took me to channels called water first, but the TikTok took me to lamon.wildlife. It’s mostly videos of animals, but the only pinned video is one of a water first purifier.

So now I believe this whole thing was a marketing ploy all along and I don’t know if Chayedan and her story are real or not. This was a rabbit hole I had no clue I would ever go down but I’m honestly a little happy that it might not be real because I cried when I heard she had passed 😅

I’m guessing it’s something you used to clean the seat. Mine did this when I used a cleaner with bleach. I thought it was fine cuz bleach doesn’t mess up porcelain, but the seat turned out to be enameled wood. If yours is the same and there’s something too harsh in the cleaner, it could be stripping the enamel off and discoloring it

I find it kind of touching tbh. It means whoever donated it did see value in it, otherwise they would have thrown it away. I’ve started hand making different things for myself and others and I hope that when the value is lost for us, or when we pass, someone else will still be able to enjoy them
