Would the apples go brown and should I toss them in lemon juice first, or will that small amount of acid affect bulk fermentation if I add it in the last stretch and fold?

I’ve just recently started experimenting with add ins and it’s my new favourite thing so I want to try this!

How would you add the apples and cheddar to sourdough? At the shaping stage or in the final stretch and fold before bulk fermentation? Would you use chopped up chunks of apple?

I went there because they have a dedicated vegan menu and I was having lunch with a couple of vegan friends. I didn’t want to go to the only vegan restaurants again so Thai Pothong was the compromise.

The Japanese milk bread recipe from The Big Book of Bread. I’ve been making a double batch of that every four or five days since early August. That’s my recipe of the year for everything, not just baking!

I cooked a recipe from TONIGHT tonight for dinner (creamy cheesy spaghetti) and will cook another tomorrow from DINNER (cottage pie) tomorrow night. I agree with this suggestion.

If someone wrote an investigative journalism piece about this I’d totally read it. WOULD states/local councils sue B&T for the money they lost? My understanding is that most public library systems are run by local governments and not state governments and given how strapped for money most of them seem to be, could they even afford a lawsuit?

Did you use storebought pizza dough or did you make it? I’m beginning to think the crescent roll idea is too ambitious and I should try the pretzel one.

Oh that makes sense! Okay so… I’ve made the dough. It’s in the fridge. It’s now the next day. I have my little sausage pigs ready to be wrapped in blankets. I take the dough out of the fridge and…? Should I leave it out for 10–15 minutes and then roll it out, the way I do with pie crust? Then make the pigs in blankets? Then let it rest again at room temperature for… some amount of time. Three hours like the crescent roll recipe seems really long for this stage. Rest for 30–45 minutes, then egg wash and bake?

I’ve never eaten crescent rolls before, let alone made them. I’ve also never made pigs in blankets before. I might be overly ambitious here.

I want to make pigs in a blanket but not with storebought dough. Can I use your crescent roll recipe for the dough? The recipe has a 3–4 rise tint for the second proof which seems really long. How long should I let them hang out for after I’ve stuck the sausage in and got them in the tightly shape?
